Wut?
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes

Please keep the Windows classic (9x/2000) look and feel.

It is also an open source operating system written independently by ReactOS imitating another operating system that is not open source.

It is not Linux like at all. If you mean the tango icons, yes they are ugly as hell. Feel free to create new ones but keep in mind that it's not done with some folder and drive icons. There are a few hundred icons to design what's a task of months even for someone skilled.

The most disapointing thing about ReactOS is of course its comparison with Windows: ReactOS is alpha-state, in other words not ready for using. That's pretty normal, since it must be developed from scratch. But nontheless disappointing. Apart from that I'm not disappointed by ReactOS. It's just frustrating for me that it doesn't boot on my PC. But "linux-like"? I don't think so. It's great, and it's open source, and it's like Windows.
