Sorry for posting in the old thread in my last post. I simply followed an instruction in the documentation to post to that thread.

OK, here now a better info of my hardware system, using Google (or Duckduckgo) for "hardware info" on my xubuntu Linux:

Try the latest build at the getbuilds page.

hdaudbus is a known problem. If audio can be disabled in the bios, disable it and try again (I have read were this as been suggested).

For serious testing you will need a null modem cable (if your test computer has a serial port) and a second computer with a serial port with a terminal like Putty running, to capture debug output.
Please keep the Windows classic 9x/2000 look and feel.
The layman's guides - debugging - bug reporting - compiling - ISO remaster.
They may help you with a problem, so do have a look at them.

Ok, thanks, will first try the latest getbuild version and second disable Audio in BIOS.

Could the second computer be a tablet with USB, with a serial<->USB adapter cable?

I downloaded and installed getbuild (0.4.13). And everything worked fine (except the mouse of course).
I didn't have to disable Audio in BIOS! :)

I have no experience with a serial to USB adapter, so all I can say is, give it a try. The tablet will need a terminal app to capture the debug output.

A little trick to try to get the mouse pointer to work, is to keep moving your mouse around until you see the pointer move. This is done at the point where it says that it is loading drivers. If your mouse is a USB one, then try booting up without it plugged in, then when it reaches the desktop, plug your mouse in and see if it then works.

Thanks for the tip. But I have ordered a PS/2 - USB adapter on ebay. So I soon will be able to use the mouse (probably...)

When quoting the revision that you are testing, it is better to quote the part of the full revision, that I have highlighted in bold (below) and not just 0.4.13

reactos-bootcd-0.4.13-dev-343-ga73c17f-x86-gcc-lin-dbg.7z

When creating a Jira Issue, that is the part that the developers want, because it will enable them to know which commit to trunk it is. Remember, there could be a few hundred commits in the trunk that have 0.4.13 as part of their build number.

Ah, ok! I will keep that in mind in the future.
