Linux is not an option for general users like us. Specially those who are heavily depended on windows software. Windows 10 has become synonym of bloatware. Yet the only hope left ReactOS is far from being ready as one's daily driver.

I am worried for the future...
There is an opportunity that ReactOS will be finally noticed massively in some way, and at least some developers would join...
There must be millions that wants and like Open Source but, they don´t like GNU/Linux world. Maybe they could discover ReactOS and heavily colaborate with the project. Hope is still...

Even if ReactOS won´t approach to compete to Windows 10 (when previous versions were dropped), it will be used to run Windows 95/98/XP and Vista/7 applications (stable in virtual machines at least)...
Despite new hardware and software, old OSes and hardware are still be used...

And when Windows finally be dropped, ReactOS will stay and follow its legacy, ReactOS the survivor...

If you combine an ultra light linux plus a qemu virtual machine, you get the best environment for running reactos, no worry for driver compatibility, just getting full screen and way go, my linux choice is tinycore linux, thus left over the resources for guest OS

End of Windows XP support came and went. Nothing happened. So I wouldn't expect Win7 to be any different.

Microsoft could just simple make Aero themes to disguiss Windows 10 as a Windows 7.

Maybe users will make Microsoft to extend Windows 7 end of support a few years....
Remember Windows Vista fail and Windows XP with more years of support.
I guess people don`t like Windows (8, 8.1 , 10) anymore since Windows 8.

The original Ford Model T car weighed about 1200 pounds. Today's Ford Fusion sedan weighs about 3400 pounds, almost three times more. One man's "bloat" is another man's "improvements".
