Three years ago exists the initiative ReactOS Community Edition
http://community.reactos.org/
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/reac ... y-edition/
The main goal was, to speed up the development to ReactOS 0.4
http://community.reactos.org/index.php/ ... eactos-0-4
0.4.0 was already released last year.
Currently we have ReactOS 0.4.5 and are on the way to 0.4.6
https://sourceforge.net/projects/reacto ... tOS/0.4.6/
So, do you think, it would make sense to
- create a ReactOS version with the Lautus theme as default, with the Faenza icons and the ReactOS Community Wallpaper, so that it looks like
https://images.indiegogo.com/file_attac ... iegogo.png
https://images.indiegogo.com/file_attac ... iegogo.png
- creating a new campaign to speed up to ReactOS 0.5.

Re: ReactOS Community Edition 2
While we had 0.4.0, AFAIK, there has been no Community Edition yet. So we don't need to add 2 after it. The justification was that the Community Edition would be a 0.4.x version, but not necessarily 0.4.0.
Now, while it wouldn't hurt to have a new fundraiser and a newly proposed Community Edition, AFAIK, the one that was planned with that name hasn't been delivered yet.

Re: ReactOS Community Edition 2
Not yet.
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

Re: ReactOS Community Edition 2
Please, add usb 3.0 support for 0.4.6 .
Please, please, please.
I have HP Probook 450 G0, which won't boot ReactOS.
I used my pen drive with live iso.
It is usb 3.0. So, I already failed even before I had tried.
Actually I didn't know that usb 3.0 was not supported.
I thought failure to boot was the cause of a bug but now this makes sense.
Yet I can't keep myself cool because I want to test on real hardware.
After all ReactOS can't stay in gestation period forever.

Re: ReactOS Community Edition 2
It's good to voice support for USB 3.0, but I wouldn't give your hopes up. USB is probably the most complicated and complex standard ever devised and honestly I'm surprised ReactOS supports USB at all given how incomprehensibly complex it is. The only other hobby OS in the world to have any USB support is Haiku and, again, I'm shocked they managed to get that.Adcock wrote:Please, add usb 3.0 support for 0.4.6 .

I doubt it, even the GSoC 2016 work still isn't included...
