Re: Total issues to resolve / fix in ReactOS
A search of the ReactOS JIRA issue reporting logs reported a raw count of 1,529 open, in progress, and reopened issues.

Also, keep in mind, that many many more bugs will appear as new features are added.

Yes, as more features are added, more existing (but unknown) bugs will be highlighted, in addition to new bugs. Plus even as proper fixes are applied for various bugs, some bugs will shift to other places.
And sometimes things are done completely the wrong way, and when you fix one part of it to make it more Windows compliant, then related parts will show bugs that didn't previously show up. If an entire group of intertwined code does it the wrong way together, it might actually work pretty well. It is a balanced mess. But as you fix where it is known to be wrong, the related parts may become incompatible. Then as that is fixed to be compatible with the previously fixed code, then something else breaks or regresses, and so on, until all of it is rendered more Windows compliant.
I said all that to say that the original question is next to impossible to answer. The reported bugs that are open/reopened are only so many of the total existing and projected bugs. Many bugs are not visible until other bugs are fixed, and other bugs will either become visible or be new bugs as new code is written.

This could be 1 year of bugs fixing, before version 0.5 beta arrives.
Re: Total issues to resolve / fix in ReactOS
Could be more, could be less. It's really useless to try guessing the timeline right now. Some are tiny cosmetic issues while others are massive issues. Just keep using, testing, and reporting. We'll get there!
