Slow development and backup of patches

I've noticed lately that development has really slowed down and the amount of patches committed is nearly 0. This is proven by the graph on JIRA:

We could easily decrease the amount of open tickets by committing the smaller patches such as translations or minor GUI fixes. :)

I know that we are prepping 0.4.2 but that's still not a reason to slow development and committing of patches. Things don't need to be merged to the release branch if people are afraid it's going to increase memory usage or cause a minor regression. I'm hoping that after 0.4.2 that committing of patches will speed up.

I'm not trying to cause any trouble but I'm not the only to have noticed this (https://jira.reactos.org/browse/ONLINE-614). I'm just stating my opinion. :)
