Not at all, it was in fact just a problem with the timer which was "localized" in some sense (used your timezone to show the remaining time between the current hour and when the revolution should start).

Is the reason, that you want to publish the (R)evolution simultaneously with Microsoft /build/ ?

Or maybe because they want it taken seriously. After all, the sky was a lovely shade of green today. ;-)

I wonder how the community edition will affect the standard version? I'm assuming the community edition's progress will be put back into the standard edition as well.

All work will 100% get back to the standard ReactOS.

Well, while I would have waited a bit longer before going on another round of trying to gather sponsorship - it's a bit too soon after the last one - I'm glad to see some suggestions have been adopted. The fact that it's not a Thorium-style commercial try this time, but a more 'regular' and more-easily recognisable ROS version/sponsorship, is without doubt a step in the right direction. It's also on gogoindie now, which has some advantages, and the number (goal/money) is sufficiently reasonable now to be realistic. It's like the classical 'donationbar' without it being a donationbar. ;-) Also, the fact that its based around more involvement of the community is a nice touch too, and certainly welcomed. I'm glad all the discussions about more community-involvement and more empowerment of the userbase has had some results. I'm happy to see that, and wish to express my thanks and to say: well, done, vicamaral (and z98 and others who worked on this).

The set-up and way of introducing it was also quite innovative and done much more professionally, compared with last time. All in all, while there are some things I personally would have done otherwise, I must confess I'm pleasantly surprised and want to congratulate you on the improvements made.

Edit: lol. I also see you took/used my suggestion (for the blog/newssection) where I indicated I wanted to make a graph of all the tests done to date, compared over time (with the different versions), so it showed the progress. It seems you have done just that. I wish you had told me a bit sooner, because I've now wasted my time on it (I'm 1/3 through), but on the other hand, it's well done, and I couldn't have done it better, so it's no use I continue with it anymore. No sweat; it still has saved me a lot of time&effort, I guess. It was exactly such a thing as I envisaged: http://community.reactos.org/index.php/ ... eactos-0-4 . Was it done because of my suggestion/idea, or was it simply a matter of coincidentally similar ideas at the same time? Anyway, it's nice to see it done/finished and so nicely/clear presented.

Edit2: I also note you took my (and maybe others that suggested the same) advise in setting also a 1dollar reward: some really have little money to spend, and those will welcome it, but more importantly, as said, it stimulates people to donate a higher amount too. I also see another suggestion of the community to put more diverse (levels of) reward there is also incorporated. (10, 20, 25,40 dollars, etc.) The 100000 and 500000 dollar ones seem a bit excessive, and a bit strange, since the goal is 50000, but I guess it can't hurt, and maybe a hardware-vendor or big company will go for it, you never know. I even note that for one reward, you go back to my earlier idea about making a 'special' limited edition CD of ROS, as a collectors' item. (Which reminds me, I still have to post about the CD-printing try I made). You even took the 'specialised to a piece of hardware' (suggested by someone else) approach as a reward too. It clearly shows you have done your best to take the input of all users/testers/commentators seriously and incorporated a lot of it. Very good!

+1 I have the same opinion.

In addition, the campaign seems to have a promising start.

Let's hope for the best :D

I'm glad you see "yourself" reflected a little inside the "campaign", because as I personally promised this campaign was going to "have a piece" of each of us, so any in the forum will see their "suggestion/feedback" on it.
Most of you were asking for a much more ReactOS oriented (there you go), asked for a more professional design(there you go: Narrators are awesome, Video is nice, and website is somekind-attractive), but overall...the Community wanted a way to "push" ReactOS into their own needs and suggestions. And it has sense, because as I said (once and again) ReactOS is You(the Community).
The amount of work behind the campaign is enormous, no kidding. So well, now it's partially in your hands to help it to make real (from sharing with your friends and forum, to buying any cool rewards) and hopefully the campaign is motivational enough. :)

Pieces of everyone in the project? I don't see little purple girls running across the screen at boot! ;)
(And no, don't add any on my account, it really is just a joke and not a jab.)

Seriously, I hope this new effort works out. I see there is response already, so maybe this will push us to beta much quicker.
