[NEWS] ToGL open sourced

Valve has released ToGL - a Direct3D-to-OpenGL translation layer - as open source.

This most likely won't build by itself and is provided as-is and completely unsupported. Feel free to use it for your reference, incorporate it into your projects or send us modifications.

It's under it's own open source license. So, this looks like a 50/50.

I think it's public domain.

No, it's not. Read the license file. It's a BSD style license, it is NOT public domain.

BSD licence is compatible with GPL (at least in this direction)

I'd say yes, but as usual, someone have to step-in and do it, so don't expect developers to jump on it right away.

I'd say no, since we already get the same functionality from Wine.
