For any lazy people who don't want to read the whole (moderately long and very interesting) interview, here's the TL;DR:
Aleksey Bragin wrote:While I cannot go into too many details, I can say that it involves Kickstarter and what we believe to be a viable commercial product based off of ReactOS.

I wonder if the updates will be provided from the application manager. Since the system seems to be modular as all hell.

The only thing rapps does is loading a installer and runs it. It might be possible, but not the best solution IMO
ReactOS is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes.

As long as the installer has update functionality built-in :-)

I'm sorry, but ReactOS might be one of the worst examples in history of breaking these kinds of promises to keep deadlines. /had to say it.

Looks like the news about ReactOS is beginning to spread I just received this email at work
Dear Developer Channel Member,

ReactOS is an open source project that looks to create a Windows NT based operating system which will allow various applications and drivers to be compatible with this updated OS. It will work with the entire family of Windows NT products - NT4, 2000, XP, and 2003).

Keep on promoting!
