so this contract is for implementing specific shell32 functions, which have not been implemented by the WINE team yet, because their calls are usually just redirected to corresponding Linux APIs?

Now I think I understand the importance of that contract. ;)
Hehe..you said in short words. Yup.
I think there are other advantages. But just these ones are more than enough to have them coded.
:)

PD: There are shell32 functions already coded by WINE team which calls are redirected to Linux APIs. Hence we need these too.

Hi! After the "Shell Development Contract" new to be published and past two and a half months, there are no accepting for this. Why "Shell Development Contract" new doesn't to be shown on main page (http://www.reactos.org/) evidently?

Thanks for answers.

I don't know what you're asking either, even after the edit.

Are you asking for an update about the progress made on this contract? If so, how does that relate to the home page?

Yeah, I haven't seen much progress from Giannis Adamopoulos. Not more than ten commits since may.
I'm a bit disappointed about this. I know that the shell is huge, and having a working explorer_new is hard because of having to juggle with undocumented functions, flags and all that. But he doesn't looks very active on that front, as Jira shows.

You appear to be considerably underestimating the scale of those commits.

Probably, and I value every line of code. But still, seems less than expected for four months of funded work.

Okay. That clears it up. Thanks for the in-depth insight, Ziliang. I needed it.

EPIC WIN?!

You've got to be kidding me - THIS is UNUSEABLE. Call it "work in progress" if you like.
