Q-Dir, one of my favourite Explorer applications. Four panes and running independently of the desktop. Extremely useful when explorer locks up, something that Windows users will be familiar with.

Runs beautifully in ReactOS.

Process Hacker, an open source, free, powerful, multi-purpose tool that helps you monitor system resources, debug software and detect malware.

As useful in ReactOS as it was in Windows.

Context Editor, an advanced editor written in Delphi that starts very quickly and provides a lot more of the advanced functions that a coder might require without becoming slow and cumbersome to operate.

[ external image ]

It is my go-to editor replacing notepad, easy to install and fast to operate. Best of all, it runs on ReactOS.

NVU - an open source HTML editor with view and source panes, useful for simple HTML editing, directly comparable to Frontpage Express.

PC-DCL - giving a VMS command line interface to Windows allowing you to use a familiar and useful DCL commands on Windows and now ReactOS.

Installs and runs as you would expect, perfectly.

Effective File Search, a very useful tool for replacing the poor quality search facility found in Windows Vista onward, not needed so much in ReactOS as the search capabilities are back up to the standard as found in XP - and no bleedin' animated dog...

[ external image ]

Still, at least it now works in ReactOS.

FreeFileSync - A free file synchronisation tool, well respected and very useful.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

It installs, operates and synchronises or mirrors folders, saving a lot of unnecessary time and i/o.

Some minor interface issues concerning the vertical sizing of drop down combination boxes but enough to prove an epic win I think.

The old stalwart default VMS editor EDT

[ external image ]

EDT was my go-to editor on all the years I was a system admin for VMS on Dec Vax and Alpha. I still have cause to use it to this very day.

I have the Windows version here as well and it operates perfectly on ReactOS.

Oh yes.. and Quake One too.

[ external image ]

In this case, the Darkplaces engine. Slow on this emulated ReactOS but it shoots!

It would be good if someone could test Darkplaces on real hardware running ReactOS and post a video link.

When you get closer they change colour to the correct and expected ones, I think the transparent background to the menu has caused that minor interference. It is still an Epic Win that it works at all.

The latest version of Mame64 (0.218) is x64 only and NT 6+, so additional NT 6+ exports were needed.
