Re: EPIC WIN!
Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread, but not every day does someone potentially test a new CPU family with ROS that's never been tested, or if it has, I couldn't find it by searching. I'd be surprised, this is one of two PCs with this CPU family I've ever seen for sale, so I'd imagine they're even rare in Japan. I'll post an in-depth log of my experiences once I'm done setting up, but for now, I've tested it and ROS does, in fact, work on Transmeta's Efficeon TM8600. I can't get the Mobility Radeon driver to install or I'd say whether or not the AGP driver also worked, but the ATA driver does.
Currently using: 0.4.15-x86-dev-4872-g8a3db97 (VirtualBox)
Pretty good so far, keep up the good work!
Formerly tested on: Dell Inspiron 2200, HP Pavilion p7-1155, want to test on: Dell Inspiron 8500, custom-build ROS machine (P4 2.8GHz, GF6800 Ultra)

Re: EPIC WIN!
@Dogon simply comment out #define CSR_DBG here: https://git.reactos.org/?p=reactos.git; ... b=HEAD#l18
by adding two slashes at the line start.
Then recompile basesrv, csrsrv and csrss and replace them in installed system. That's all.

Re: EPIC WIN!
@Dogon: just follow this path (open each subdirectory starting from the root directory of the sources repository): sdk/include/reactos/subsys/csr. In the csr directory should be csrsrv.h file.

Re: EPIC WIN!
@Dogon or, if you mean built binaries, they should be in output-MinGW-i386/subsystems, in win/basesrv, win32/csrsrv and win32/csrss subdirectories for basesrv.dll, csrsrv.dll and csrss.exe appropriately.
Re: EPIC WIN!
i couldnt succes replace win32 alt system to reactos. i tryed first windows 2003 standard edition files. results not start black screen endless. after i tried xp files even so same black screen not opens. i disabled crsv.h line crs_dbg like this "/* .... */" but same result.

Re: EPIC WIN!
With the amazing progress on the 64bit port, and some of the WIP UEFI stuff being done we can now boot ReactOS on random modern weird hardware.
Here's the steam deck running ReactOS!
Very minimal and sadly has no PS/2 emulation
But the first sound of our future!
