Should ReactOS be called a Windows derivative?

If it was written from scratch - then certainly not. GNU/Linux OS is certainly not a derivative of UNIX since it was fully written from scratch.

The api is not completely original and based of Unix.

Wikipedia even says "It derives much of its basic design from principles established in Unix during the 1970s and 1980s."

Not sure why I said this. The arguments that Wikipedia is wrong or I'm using it out of context will no doubt be argued.
