Chinese Trad/Simp Split

Has it been properly implemented? the pull down list on the home page is updated but not functioning correctly. The pull down is not updated on other pages. In roscms, Chinese(simplified) inherited Chinese but Chinese(traditional) is empty. (My translation in "zh" home page is Chinese traditional)

Actually, this split aren't that urgent and need not be rushed, as there are not enough people doing translation. I would rather see the incomplete split be reverted than broken.

And many people won't agree the setting of zh=Chinese(simplified) and tw=Chinese(tradiontional) It's more politically incorrect than leaving it un-split as before. You may called them zh-cn/zh-tw, zh-hans/zh-hant, but NOT zh/tw. tw is not a language, at least not a Chinese language.

I don't think frik was paying attention when he made the initial split. I'll get him to fix it. *sighs* Thanks for being patient, this is taking a lot longer to resolve than I would have liked.

Never mind. I never see a split of Chinese trad/simp of the website is in any level important at this moment. There isn't a big enough community of Chinese care ReactOS, let alone the website. The split can be done much much later. It's okay to wait till there are big enough groups of people for both pro-traditional Chinese and pro-simplified Chinese actively contribute here.

Speaking of the website, there are entries that I need to update and/or fix but cannot see/reach in roscms. Example: "bottom" (there is an outdated "news" section sitting above the "developers quote" in zh homepage) They are out of sync with the English version but I somehow did not see them appear in the roscms entries list. The content management system selectively assumes there are entities translators don't need to touch while it is not so.

My suggestion: if some entries are really seen to be unsuitable to be touched by translators, delete their other-language edition. Those components are becoming more and more out-of-sync with that of the English homepage.

frik is aware of the problem and from the looks of it the cache is what was playing havoc with the links. It still might be causing problems, for that matter. Anyways, he's going to see if we can change the language code to use zh-hans and zh-hant for the two. I'll look into the problems with the CMS a bit more. Are you still having trouble getting only English pages for the traditional translations?
