ReactOS is still in pre-alpha stage !?

Post by Artsian » Fri Dec 23, 2005 12:34 pm

In the last weekly news, TwoTailedFox wrote that Reactos is in Alpha stage and I think he's right. But in the main page, it is still written that ReactOS is still in pre-alpha stage !

I agree. It used to say "Alpha" on the front page, I didn't like it when it was changed to "pre-Alpha". Then again, what's in a name. If we were to call it 1.0 tomorrow, missing APIs wouldn't suddenly be magically implemented.

Either way its still highly experimental. Id probably say its reaching an alpha stage (v0.3).

I don't think either alpha or beta is the right words to describe the status.

However, I would prefer Alpha to Pre-Alpha

I think Reactos is alpha and not pre alpha.

Doesn't pre-alpha imply that next-to-nothing has been done yet? I'd prefer the regular status of Alpha too

I will change the text from "pre-alpha" to "alpha".
