ReactOS Support Database
I am currently working on the ReactOS Support Database (compatibility, package and media database). The "Support Database" will be the official ReactOS Support DB. I will import the compatibility data from the ReactOS Fansite - http://frik85.reactos.at
Please add your ideas, suggestions, notes to the related wiki pages or in this thread, thanks.

Here are some suggestion:
1. It would be great to have a DriverGuide.com's Comments & Ratings-like feature.
2. Free Downloads Center-like list (with screenshot on the left)
3. Rounded corners

Browsing through the Support Database works fine (2005-11-10). I am working on the group entries (the interfaces for each section e.g. for compatibility). A simple search page is also available in the current version. I (or maybe someone else) will improve that very important feature soon.
P.S.: I updated the Support Database screenshot page.

would it make sense to divide between apps with an installion-routine and such without which means just unzip and use it?
and very often i am just using the copied directory of an app in ros and do not install for such cases it would maybe could to be able to give a hint.
but i guess that this is truly not so important.

That would probably be a footnote you would have to add. I'm assuming there will be more options to pick from than "works" and "doesn't work." Maybe something along the lines of "kinda works". You would then add a footnote saying installer doesn't work, but zipped version or copying an already installed directory works.florian wrote:would it make sense to divide between apps with an installion-routine and such without which means just unzip and use it?

What's with the support database?
http://www.reactos.org/?page=support and http://www.reactos.org/xhtml/en/support.html just have placeholders.
However http://www.reactos.org/support/ leads to it.
I see I can't enter info in it. Even if it's still in beta, as long as it retains info, I would like to help the project by filling it up.

I was busy the last two weeks. I hope I have enaugh time the next weekend (-> add some remaining features, like 'submit app', etc.). A first version is available here: http://www.reactos.org/support/ ; Although it is not usable (you cannot submit apps, etc.). I will annouce, when the Support DB is ready for beta testing.uriox wrote:Yes please, make the database available even if beta. This could help to identify regressions as well as giving tips to make some particular applications work.
If you have any support db related suggestions, ideas, etc. please go to the ReactOS Wiki page and add it to the support db page, thanks.
