Hi!

Here is a short progress update.

Networking (Art Yerkes, Alex Ionescu; Quote from Alex: "Art is the yin and I am the yang."):
Working programs: CVS, telnet, finger, jbmail (mail client), lynx (Browser), Dillo (graphical browser!), Mozilla control (you can browse with ReactOS Explorer!), PuTTY (SSH), mIRC
Close to working: zIRC, bitchx (IRC Client)
Planned: Firefox, Pegasus Mail, xircon
Currently working on: Problems with real hardware

DirectX (Magnus Olsen - GreatLord):
Works: dinput.dll dsound.dll (Has to be merged with Wine.), dxdiagn.dll
Close to working: devenum.dll

XBox port (Gé van Geldorp - GvG)
Working: boot loader, kernel startup, GUI
Needs a lot of work: USB stack for input devices (keyboard, mouse don't work)
Look at this!

Royce Mitchell III
Currently working on: rbuild (front-end to help speeding up build times and for supporting other build systems)
Planned: FreeType glyph cache (for speed-up in text-rendering)

Alex Ionescu
Currently working on: New source tree structure, networking, kernel

More info

Could the developers that aren't added here yet please send me a private message about what they're currently working on and what is going to be ready soon?

Greetings
Michael

The 0.3 release (that's the release with networking) has been delayed. Instead, there's going to be a 0.2.5 release. 0.2.5 Release Candidate 1 is already available from SourceForge.

If "support" means they will at least get through the startup code, then yes, that is correct. Of course the apps can still try to do things not implemented yet.

http://home.hetnet.nl/~andre_van_schoub ... tect20.rar

is running ...

now find a way to detect ROS ...

Emviorement --- OS = ReactOS , I can program it to check that ....
But then how to get the ROS version ?

Great :D :o  !!!
But what is with the announcement, changelog and other stuff on the official reactos.com site? I need this information to commit the news of the new release to some german open source communities. I little bit more synchronization would help a lot in this case.

I saw this already.
It's size is about 142 Kbytes!!
But you already noted it: This is not a changelog, it is all the cvs-commits or stuff. When I link to this, nobody will read it.

You can download the source code via SVN.

SVN: http://svn.reactos.com/viewcvs/branches ... nch-0_2_5/

I wrote a tuturial for SVN clients (CVS "successor")
