0.3.6 Released

Post by Z98 »

This actually would count as ahead of schedule, as we are only in the beginning of August. Anyways, the release comes with the usual bugfixes and increased compatibility, especially in the area of installers and applications written in Delphi, so check it out.

We should include 0.3.7 in bugzilla and change target to it for bugs: 1249, 2393, 3126 among others...

Thanks from my K6-2 testing system!
I heard ReactOS does even run on Pentium 1 with 96 MB RAM.

Could you update the screenshots page with actual pictures, please?

What new programs work in the .3.6 that did NOT work in .3.5? Can we get new .3.6 screenshots?

Biggest new working apps in 0.3.6 is InnoSetup-based installers, Delphi applications. Other than that, in 0.3.6 applications will run stabler than before.

I do not know... perhaps it also happened because nobody of us have such mini-PC yet.

Sincerely,

Carlo Bramini.

Yeah, I am pretty pleased by this version.
I was very surprised when testing 0.3.6-REL Live iso on my computer and actually see the system come on.

The best it was going in previous release, was after showing the drivers loading, screen would become black and then hang there with no activity on CD drive.

System is a P5GZ-MX with a Celeron D using integrated i945GZ video chipset.

I can honestly say, I was shocked to hear it was released... Just still used to the schedule of 0.3.4 - 0.3.5 ;)

And of course, great work as always!

I'm afraid that I don't know squat about how the developers created what will be the best OS ever, but a sincere thank you from a ROS fanboy. Best wishes on the success of your crusade.
