When creating this font, I based myself on Avant Garde and Avant Garde Alternates.

He did base it on AvantGrande which is the ReactOS font

You might have mistaken it for a lot of different fonts, especially at small pixel levels. Like err, Miram or uh... Kartika? Gah, I can't remember thin ones much. Batang? No, Batang's serif. Or one of those Condensed fonts.

Err wait, are we talking about ReactOS' installed fonts? Or the logo font? Because the logo font's different than the installed fonts (according to title bars and stuff, or was the logo broken apart in the OS to save space?)

Avant Garde Mono is not free by the way, and that's what the reactOS logo uses (or so it seems). (In fact, according to SOME prices, Avant Garde Mono is over 40 USD.)
