Youtube video i produced on ReactOS - Nikon D800

Post by MarkHaefner »

Hello ReactOS Team,

I finally was able compiling this video completly on a ReactOS-System
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67hlqbmLHi4

For the 3D-Programming I did use Powerbasic 9 (http://www.powerbasic.com)
My Camera is a NIKON D-800, which is very recommended - not just because of the incredible choice of 2nd-Hand Lenses. The FX-Sensor is incredible good in case you need a geometrical calibration of the camera - f.e. for CAD/CAM

br,

We need some proof that you actually did the work On ReactOS, otherwise it might simply be a 'little white lie' so that you can submit some links to your products/video.

So, please post some images of ReactOS doing what you say it did, ie. running PowerBasic and running some video editing software.

I was using a mixture of own algos i have from university times in Fortran 77 and converted them to powerbasic
https://forum.powerbasic.com/forum/user ... -thanks-pb

My digital camera algos are my own IP and not OpenSource.
But you can find a full discription of the digital camera calibration algos with code inside the libary of Technical University Darmstadt
https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Mark-Haefner (Diploma Thesis)

I was using Blender for 2D and 3D animation and Ableton 8 on Win10 first.

... then i was able reproducing the workflow on an isolated 20 years old computer with ReactOS

Blender running on ReactOS, you can find in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT_y-DvtVZU

Ableton and other Software running on ReactOS you can find here: https://www.dreimer.de (MOD Edit.... Sure that's my site ^^)

I also was a #DCT-Developer @ Fraunhofer (IGD) - you can find my musictunes here
https://www.backstagepro.com/musiker/ma ... Kr9KZvvGfm

So i actually just did use a workflow which already was published many times

I sign my computer workflow mostly with former #DCT-Developer ...

But i think, that it is necessary to show with a video what can be done with a digital camera on a >25 years old PC... and in my opinion ReactOS already is good enough.

It is impressive, true. I have always stated that ReactOS goes 'live' when it works well enough for the individual user. However, it just cannot be relied upon. That is the sad bottom line, however, it is good to see it being used - as long as you protect your data.

I use a Nikon D3100 with VR capability but at the moment I am not doing any video editing. You may have inspired me to to do some more but I will be using Windows 7 rather than ReactOS.

I suggest you think about putting such impressive uses of ReactOS on the "Epic Wins thread" on this forum, specifically designed for this sort of ReactOS win.

PS. What's with the workflow signature thing?

I'm sorry that makes no sense to me either, certainly not in English. I don't see the reason for that part of your post. Can you remove that so the thread stays on track? I'm not the mod. here, I just want to see the thread go the right direction to avoid moderation. Friendly advice. Mod please remove my post too when this thread is repaired.

You are probably reading this without account now, but your question does not make any sense.
