Re: New ReactOS Explorer
The fabulous decision path diagram mf drew in the post Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS is missing.

Re: Blog: Merged Folders and undocumented interfaces
What I think is "sloppy programmers" should've been punished severely each time they hard code paths. I've met examples when they even hard coded paths to System32 and, surprise, I'm never installing Windows into "Windows" directory. Such punishment is a job for instructors, men...

Re: No Link to ReactOS Community on Front Page
The upper left side of the ReactOS front page has some links under the heading Navigation. One is labeled Community. That link points to https://www.reactos.org/reactos-community, a very different page.

Re: System utilities on ROS
ps - ROS project should be redefined not as Binary compatible, but as a Core and its Environment compatible to the NT OS. Wow. Making such a big wish shows your enormous confidence in ReactOS's eventual success, zydon. He most probably forgets that ReactOS is developed by thousandth of man-time of ...

Re: Blog: The TODO list, collaborative edition
The book Alex mentioned in his talk in Toronto last year is Windows core scenario analysis - the use of open source ReactOS -(Chinese Edition) by MAO DE CAO. Another book that mentions ReactOS is Build Your Own Security Lab: A Field Guide for Network Testing by Michael Gregg. Both are on the big on-...

Re: System utilities on ROS
The EULA for Sysinternals forbids third-party distribution of the software. This is typical of EULAs for Microsoft tools, including the free-to-download-from-Microsoft tools. Nirsoft may have a similar restriction on its tools. Maybe I misunderstand. I don't see the need to put those tools into Reac...

Re: Help and Support feature
I copied the file 7-zip.chm (from 7-Zip version 9.20) to the ReactOS (r63682) desktop. I double-clicked 7-zip.chm's icon to launch the file. A Help window began to open on the desktop. Before the help window's left pane was drawn, an alert box named hh.exe - Entry Point Not Found appeared with the m...

Re: Help and Support feature
https://shfb.codeplex.com/ is the Sandcastle Help File Builder originally developed by Microsoft. It requires .NET 4.0 and Microsoft's HTML Help Workshop to build .chm files. http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/ requires Microsoft's HTML Help Workshop to turn its output into .chm files . http://im...

Re: Help and Support feature
Thanks for starting this new thread, PurpleGurl. The discussion at Blog: The TODO list, collaborative edition was getting sidetracked with all the chatter about ReactOS's not yet implemented Help and Support item on the Start menu. Help and Support is the desktop's own on-line help. On Microsoft Win...

Re: Blog: The TODO list, collaborative edition
I will add the patch Lee Schroeder proposed in CORE-7285 to my working copy and experiment with it. Then I will make a test file and try it with WINE's winhlp32.exe as mentioned in https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-7971 . ...don't want it implemented right away. Is there a reason...? Microsoft Wi...
