The reason we wrote it was just curiousity, we just wanted to know if it was possible, and surprisingly it was pretty easy. We just put it into the source code base because it might be useful some day, but that wasn't my decision. SkyOS has changed much since then, so the 2 or 3 applications that it...

This is too sad....blocking 80.* would block me sometimes, too ;)
I don't think blocking whole ip ranges is a good answer to the problem unless it's confirmed to be ips used bz potential spammers.

RC1 is out already, however current SVN trunk has a few severe bugs solved, but I doubt these fixes will make it into 0.2.6.

No, unless you get grub to detect hardware, load the registry to examine which drivers need to be loaded at boottime and then hands control over to ntoskrnl.
