New Tree Structure

I think that new tree structure is more logical. But something surprised me. I saw place for things like paint and wordpad which were no in old revisions. But I saw also that there is no place for some old apps ( cacls ), and DLLs (keyboard layouts kbdur and kbdru ). This may be not the only things ...

Microsoft has just released their code, so ReactOS goal sounds like "reinventing the weel" now. http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/3002/smilelol4mh.gif Microsoft had never released their sources in full understanding of term "releasing sources". Even if some code will be availab...

There is no leaked win source code in ReactOS, afaik. It's about revers. eng. ... The next ReactOS version will a 0.3 (with audited and trusted code only), the version goals are the same as before, but it will take some months more. Some months? Well, it sounds great! But what about this : audit of...

As far as I understood, "development" for now means only cleaning up code which is under suspicion. And then we'll see long process of its replacement.

My question is the same - will any development results be available for public in near future (SVN, releases, etc)?

Can anyone say for now what particular code will be removed. As far as I understood it is mostly kernel code. Does it mean that functionality will be worse then in 0.2.0 version? And we probably won't see any version even if it will be less productive for next months? I mean will development results...

Wine is faster than WinXP

This benchmark results are quite interesting - Wine 0.9.5 is faster than Windows XP SP2 in 67 tests of 147 total. ReactOS certainly will take best from wine thanks to Steven Edwards and others and will become "Windows faster than Windows" (paraphrasing the OS/2 slogan) AFAIK DIB eng...

Hm... Reacty is interesting personage. When I look at him i think why not design Reacty MS Agent Character for usage in future help system whan it will be available? The only problem it will need some Microsoft libs.

I just think: why would developers decompile Windows binaries to include some code to ReactOS if there is WinNT4+Win2K sources available via P2P. I mean that if someone wanted to do it why didn't he used stolen sources? Reading source code is much easier then disassembling compiled one and trying to...
