The Build page is not giving out downloads
The last build I tested was a week ago, and most setup programs suddenly closed, or froze the OS after completing, they where working in the last release.

Re: What ROS do when it booting?
Just do what some quick booting software does, it changes your shutdown into a "log-off then hibernate".

Bugzilla gives your email address out to the world
Why are peoples email addresses turning up in a Google search, for everyone here that posted a bug report?
This is a serious security problem.

Re: Testers
The general reply is look on the wiki , and ask what needs testing on the IRC channel. Make a test plan. Does it always happen. Steps to reproduce. Test environment all the details. Example: Don't just say Virtual Box. Because there are hundreds of versions of it, not to mention settings for your VM...

Re: progress map - like the Mono project used to have
I think someone asked for this before, but no one has the time to do it.
Someone would have to
A) Read all the source code, find all the hacks, notes, not implemented and maybe even understand what they are looking at.
B) Watch all the commit messages and update said document

Re: Things we can do better than Windows
Since not everyone here is a programmer, maybe we could have a section made up where people can post Pseudocode
People could for example post how multi-cpu would be handled, and other people could post modifications to it. Or explain why that would not work.

Re: Things we can do better than Windows
Since ReactOS is going for full compatibility number 1 would break so many applications, especially ones that talk to each other.
Virtualizing the address space is what 64 bit versions of windows do, but again 32bit programs are limited due to compatibility.
Blame it on Windows 3.1

Re: idea: what about more coordinate testing ?
I suggest a set of visual tests that a user can run 1. These checks will include a check list, that will be updated. 2. A separate program for each test, source included. For example Button Test A window will open with a button, and say on each press of the button it will run one of the test a) move...

I don't do anything special, it just always happens.
Obviously there is a bug in the code that is executed after displaying that file on the screen.

When I said
What build did you test, as i am yet to get one to install.
That meant that ReactOS does not install.

Apart from the graphical glitches all over the place.
I have had it freeze on copying files "mshtml.dll", or just BSOD
and it seem VT makes no difference
