Fast Stone Image Viewer already does what you want. Why not just add that software to your existing Windows PC?

The problem with MS is that they steal the ideas of everyone else. They've not a single invention in Vista that hasn't already been done.

I think you are confusing the patents issues with the copyright issues. Microsoft designed a structure that is not copyrightable, but some of it is patentable. The code that is claimed to be dirty was reverse compiled and then inserted into the project, which essentially would be murky as far as leg...

ged always brings reasoning back to the threads. :)

If ROS really wanted to skip light years ahead they'd ask HP for release of the NT source code to their project, being MS sold them the rights to maintain it.

If you take a binary and create an equivalent chunk of code in c - then compile back into a binary - then it would seem that it should be quite a bit slower than one done natively in binary. The fact that so few people understand coding at the machine level is what will make this task of "clean...

Does it have anything to do with ROS?

Beware! Narod.ru is connected with numerous password stealing trojans.

Be patient. The best rewards come to the ones that dot the "i's" and cross the "t's". It just takes a little more time to do it the correct way. Some of you will probably see ways to improve the code once you disassemble the code. That would only be another benefit in the long te...

Hmmm, ROS running Open Office or KDE Office. Tough choice. For that matter it could just as well be an old copy of MS Office 97 around. :)

Does anyone know how to build an interactive slideshow layout in Power Point? That would be the best way to display the GUI elements in a more hands on approach. The developers could readily see your point of view then, too.

Because system level access is not necessarily defined by your firewall. You could be sending mislabelled packets through your firewall - like alot of spyware does - and your zone alarm will not even know it happened. Did you not pay attention to what a rootkit can do? What he is trying to say to yo...

The speed will increase when they optimize the code and remove the debugging code. Apparently its the debugging stuff that has the biggest impact. But don't take my word for it.
