Re: Proposal for a package management system for ReactOS
Yeah, I think the idea of this as a project isn't bad - just not something that ROS devs should have added to their workload. If anyone has the time and interest, by all means start working on an XP-compatible package manager. Then once it's working, it could be added to RApps for easy install in ROS.

Re: Ctrl-Alt-Delete not working in logging screen
No its not at boot Its the logging screen. Its a feature in windows that you have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the logging in menu. I am stuck in the graphical interface, on the logging screen. Trust me, I know exactly what you mean. When I said "at boot time" I meant when ReactOS starts...

Re: Project Breeze
The problem becomes when many people all have their pet project or favorite theme that they also want included in the ISO. ReactOS right now is around 100 MB. If there were even 10 additional themes at 1 MB a piece that's 10% more stuff to download every time, at 10% extra time to do it. 10% more sp...

Not every individual file, but SS64 covers a lot of the lower-level executables: https://ss64.com/nt/

Re: Ctrl-Alt-Delete not working in logging screen
If you are prompted to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del to login right away at boot time, then this is a symptom that your filesystem and/or registry was somehow corrupted. There's not really an easy fix for this yet aside from re-installing the OS.

Re: Which version of virtualbox is better for reactos?
I use the latest, but almost any version should work. If something is broken, then there is an issue.

Re: What happens if you run virtualbox on reactos?
VirtualBox dropped support for WIndows XP hosts as of 5.0.x, so ideally any version older than that should support running a 32-bit guest VM in ReactOS. I haven't tried this, however, so I can't say more than that.

Re: Bad publicity on the front page (from developer's point of view)
I'm personally not concerned about the information itself, but I wouldn't exactly call them ReactOS's features either. That said, I know it's unlikely to change anything on the current iteration of the website. There's a new version that's been in the works for a while that will hopefully be rolled ...

Re: Open Source collection
I've tried modifying live CDs in the past, but without luck. If you open them with something like 7zip you'll see that the Default user profile is right there - you could easily add a folder to the Desktop or something. The trouble I've found is that modifying an ISO isn't as straightforward as it s...

Have you tried to run a Space Engineers server on ROS at all? The system requirements specify Win 7 as a minimum: https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/syst ... ments.html

Re: Licensing issue on javascript virtualization
ReactOS's license doesn't care about other software that you might bundle with it - it doesn't cover those. They have their own licenses.

Good recommendation, but please don't revive two year old threads unnecessarily.
