Re: ReactOS Test results 2012/08/10

I was refering to your ReactOS VM config file, in vbox profiles directory. Could you also open a bug report, providing some way to replicate the crash?

Re: Win32++

Since this is getting beyond my area of expertise, could you join our irc channel #reactos on irc.freenode.net and catch AmineKhaldi there? You will be able to discuss this issue with him.

Re: Win32++

We use C++ in many places, alas in some its getting us a big headache, especially when it comes to diferences between compilers (mainly MSVC and GCC).

Re: Win32++

You should be able to use any Win32 application or framework in ROS, that works on Windows. Ideally, this is. Bundling is quite a different story. To bundle anything with ROS, we need to have access to its sources and to build it along our system. We are dedicated to limit the amount of third party ...

@TechnoMage

I was unable to replicate your crash with guest addons installed, no matter how much memory or vram i used. Could you please post your ros vm config on that website?

Re: ReactOS Future cross-compatibility

Great. I would never knew that Halo is made by "lots" of Windows game developers? Big changes in Windows were always bringing up controversy, same thing was with XP or Vista.

That is of no difference. It is still an unsolicited email/letter, also known as spam.

Re: Newbie Install

We support QEMU, VMWare and VirtualBOX. Due to biggest popularity, Vbox on average is supported the most, but we will accept bug reports on all three and all three are expected to run ROS.

Where did you take this info from? The single case of Steam and L4D2 is not really helpful, as this move was planned upfront, before even more details of Win8 emerged.

@Blackcrack

If the person you are writing this to, has not agreed to receive such mails, it is nothing but spam. Such, will do more harm to project than good.

In turn, i would like to know why do you think this move is a bad idea? It would be easier to explain it then.

Re: Where is the ReactOS PR team?

Sorry for not being here for so long, but I just had to reply to this one (still in South America!!!): The point of the PR team was NEVER EVER meant to work on ROS from the mechanic point of view. The PR team's job is, by principle, to attract people from the outside world to the project. Never, in...
