I agree.
It should become a sticky.
There were so much discussion about that these days, so there should be sticky that shows that official position.
So there will be more constructive discussion and less moaning...

Quite frankly, these discussions are becomming annoying. The standard Windows look and feel _IS_ going to be default, and no amount of moaning is going to change that.
I totally agree.

If you want my opinion here it is: Reactos is (and will be) a substitute to windows. But it will use a windows-style gui by default. (almost everybody and most devs seems to agree) If users want another gui/shell they will be free to use it. But different shells/gui will be included in DISTROS not m...

Ok, could anyone explain step by step how to install Mozilla Control to make iBrowser working? I installed Mozilla Control 1.77, typed regsvr32 mozctlx.dll and it seems that dll is registered after that. Anyway niether ROS Explorer nor iBrowser can use it (Control not found). What I'm doing wrong? ...

When will you understand that you will be free to use any shell you want when reactos will be in a more advanced stage?
Who cares about if it's a clone or not?
In the future, there will be surely many distros of reactos anyways...

Sincerly i can't understand WHY. Anyway if it's a goal, please update the ' About ' page. Here is why: 1)ReactOS NEED a gui. Most Windows programs are using the gui, and they expect that this gui works in a specific way. So we need a gui that is compatible with windows API. Of course other shell al...

I agree, windows classic should be the default gui.

But good looking icons are important to have a "professional look"

*innocent whistle* I know you posted icon guidelines... But the icons he posted were great, with a very professional touch. I didn't know that he didn't make them himself. BTW, I think you should accept other artists, because there is a lot of icons to do and if you're alone it will take a lot of t...

Some examples: 1. litestep 2. SharpE Shocked 3. *box 4. GeoShell I don't like any of these. The third one is very ugly. The other ones are strange and confusing. Let's keep the actual one, it's simple, clear, easy to use, and everyone know it, so it will easier to get new users (new users will come...

Unless some ROS developer is breaking an NDA with Microsoft, there's a lot to learn about how Windows operates still. Reactos developers only use documented information or information they found themselves using test programs They don't use information under non-disclosure agreements, or other "ill...
