Re: Versions release frequency

This approach might as well lead to increasing the delay between releases, even further than the last one. Work on single feature might take even months, including start by researching and proper testing at the end. Exactly that's exactly our problem. See some examples of 'sub projects' below: - Pr...

Re: UDF is much better

UDF is a very common format for the distribution of large software packages, e.g. Visual studio 2008 express, 2010 express. I was really quite surprised after installing ReactOS to find it has very little support for the 3 most common file systems in use, ext2/3, NTFS, and UDF. Particularly as an N...

Re: where is declared gpsi struct ?

Hello, I'm looking for the gpsi structure declaration. - Where can I find it? - how can I find it in a pdb file in Windows Symbols? Thanks! gpsi is a SERVERINFO struct. SERVERINFO is defined here: http://git.reactos.org/?p=reactos.git;a=blob;f=reactos/include/reactos/win32k/ntuser.h#l754 For win32k...

That's normal. msvcrt is THE c runtime for the whole operating system

Re: Current Development

Those screens do give back information. You just have to know how to read them. Being a web developer, I'm sure you know what a 404 error is, but you probably didn't know before it was explained to you, did you? talking about a 404 error, check this  http://www.reactos.org/asgtsdh EDIT: as you...

Re: Any plan for this?

But apart from the tautological approach, which basically boils down to "it should be as it is because it is as it is", I do have to remark that releases would not be such a bad idea. Because a tester would be interested to be able to compare his results with other testers, and if each tester is us...

Re: Can this kind of IME run well with ReactOS ?

If i recall correctly our hook functions are 90% unimplemented.this is preventing external shells to work, since they use hooks. Wine just has implemented/stubplemented the basic ones. That's inaccurate. In reactos all LOCAL hooks are 100% implemented (but really buggy), however GLOBAL hooks are mo...

Re: Latest Arwinss ISO's

Hi nicamarvin2005 Thanks a lot for the benchmarks :D So a general conclusion is that Reactos 3.11 > Reactos trunk > reactos arwinss Regarding arwinss performance there is no surprise in these results. It is known that we used more wine code to achieve compatibility sacrificing performance. This is w...

Re: Arwinss vs Yarotows vs ROS

They're more misleading than informative due to the disparity between the branches People do Benchmarks all the time betweens linux and windows and even between windows OS,....when should I start doing benchmarks again... :?: like in 7 years when reactos reach 1.0.. yes, they compare linux w...
