That's an old idea. As a graphical 1st stage installer instead of the current text-mode USetup program.

Oh, yes, I also forgot that it would be useful a lot to many of us out there, who won't test on real HW because we don't have any serial port capabilities […]
Let's not forget about the ReactOS (Screen) mode.

DbgPrint is a function which prints debugging messages. Or if you have to create your own "log file", the...

Hardware support is still not good — not even mice always work, people complain. What he is saying is that Linux + VM could serve as ‘firmware’, sufficient for the time being to create the pretence of a working system. Someone might want to use it, even if there is no benefit over Wine.

ReactOS, as an OS, cannot run "on top of Linux"
He means, in a virtual machine.

I confirm that forum has no favicon at all. Wiki refers to http://www.reactos.org/favicon.ico (which does not exist). Jira uses this icon. The main page uses that icon.

Uploaded the recent sources from SVN (file reactos-r58644.7z, 41.74M). After unpacking, go to reactos directory and do

Code: Select all

svn revert --recursive .
and you will get the full working copy. It requires ~ 621M of disk space.

D:\os\ReactOS-0.3.14-REL-src121
Instead of building the release (0.3.14), which is already more then one year old, use the sources from the SVN repository.

If you really want to build 0.3.14, then use old RosBE (version 1.5.1).

Please do not “fix” hto.

I don't see what is wrong with Z98 having a rank of Release Engineer. DangerGround is a Website Coordinator, terrance is a Site Admin
