Re: Forum loads incredible fast

Can't say it is any faster than before, but most other current PHPBB boards are bloated down with stuff that seems to take much longer to load than this forum and other older forums. Perhaps something in the theme? Anyway, congrats on performing an upgrade that is an actual upgrade without taking a ...

I'd also suggest an HTTP redirect from the old index URL.

Another epic win: http://www.reactos.org/compat/media/files/picture/2013-01-29-15-34-07_116_arwinss57565camstudio2.png Camstudio 2 running under the arwinss branch! In trunk it runs, but only records a black screen. Under arwinss it actually records the desktop! (Oh, and VirtualDub somewhat works to...

Re: Keeping it up to date

On a related note, I would be willing to help out with screen shots. Some of the recent pictures from the Epic Win thread should be on the front page instead of that old Photoshop 3 under ReactOS 0.2.9.

How to bookmark a search in Jira?

I wanted to bookmark a search for a specific type of bug in Jira, but when I do it comes up blank after I close and re-open the browser. Apparently it does not put the search terms in the URL like a normal search program but uses something session related instead. Is there any way to do this in Jira...

Re: 7-Zip Installer error?

An interesting minor difference. On Windows XP 32-bit, it is set to C:\Program Files\7-Zip There is no ending backslash. So it might be Windows 7 doing something different, or it might be that the 7-zip setup did something different based on the way it was installed. I think with the way it is used ...

Re: Reactos Search prototype

Personally, I preferred the Windows 9x/NT 4 versions of search. Even for a simple filename search, the XP version had a nasty habit of trying to search inside ZIP files - which doesn't sound like a bad idea until you discover how slow their zip file processor is. No idea how they managed to make it ...

Re: Is UEFI nessisary for ReactOS? Otherwise lets support it

UEFI support is not currently needed for ReactOS - all PC motherboards still support BIOS booting. If there are any that don't I would be interested in knowing - the day they drop BIOS booting methods is the day they drop the last shred of "IBM PC" compatibility. The so-called Secure Boot (Important...
