Start menu

I think Bond007's start menu would look better if the left column was removed, as with the lower "my documents", "my pictures", and "my music". In the place of the lower "my ..." internet and all programs should be placed. Also "printers and faxes" should be removed because they are covered by the c...

I was just wondering if any of this would get in the svn trunk? Dominik has made some great suggestions (and I even like the taskbar made by Bond007). Its just that even with these suggestions I have not seen much change in the design to date (although this is just from 0.25-0.27).

User/Developer map

Hi, I know there is already a map of users and developers. However, I thought that using the new frapper web page would be easier and more useful. So a second (new) user map can be found at http://www.frappr.com/reactos

Its better to wait

I know your comment was meant to be constructive, but it can just as easily be taken as rude. Frik85 created the new website to help the project, he was not paid for this task. Further, if you noticed on his fansite the page was orginized and created long before it became official. Basicly Frik85 is...

Not likely

Actually I think Xming is a very good idea. However, I have read enough discusions along these lines to know the developer response is likely to be "we are making a clone of windows, and windows comes with explorer not X windows". Xming could be installed by the user, or be the defalt graphical syst...

I did it mainly so people can choose what they are interested in from a catagory in stead of having a large list to scroll through. As far as copying, I thought the extra space could be used for relevent information. Further, the info can be updated with info not on the web site because its a wiki.

By "No competing packege management types or file types" I meant R.I.N.L. Why should ReactOS provide the bandwidth for this? If someone wants Winamp, let them download it from Nullsoft and let Nullsoft provide the bandwidth. I said we should include a browser. Most people don't know how to download ...

Why a distro?

What I mean is linux is a kernel, the main distros (slackware, debian, red hat, ext) are operating sytems in themselves in that they each have a different way of doing the same thing. The distros of the distros (Mepis, Vector, ext) simply precreate a usable os from the main distros. Well, reactos wi...
