Nice, though the atom looks just a little too large (no pun intended).

When I first install windows, I don't have sound, networking, or hardware advanced graphics. I have to install my MoBo's drivers to get all this. As long as Ros can install and run 3rd party drivers, it can be consitered a network release. Only computer enthusiests are going to install Ros initially...

Yes, your hardware is suitable for installing ROS. However, Ros is in a Alpha stage of development and as a result does not run many apps which would run in windows. Further, many of the features necessary to an OS are not implemented yet (security, networking, sound, ext.). If you are looking for a...

Actually Ros does work on the AMD 64bit line in 32 bit legacy mode. I run both windows 32bit and Ros on real hardware.
However, im pretty sure BrandonTurner ment there is no native 64bit Ros as of yet.

So was this design not accepted, or does the project just have no formal way of accepting it? I am just curious because it seems as if most people like this design far better than the current one, and this design makes ROS look more windows like, which I thought was a goal. It just seems odd that a ...

compromise?

mf you know you could just set 3 icons; one empty, one full, and the overflowing banana peel one. The banana peel icon would be used when the recycling bin passes a set memory size. This would alert the user when it is REALLY nessisary that they clean their recycling bin.

Trashcan?

I was just looking at the icons made by mf and on seeing the trashcan icon I ralized I have yet to see a trashcan in ROS. I was wondering if a trashcan has already been implemented, and if so, how do you find it?

I believe he means we should make the win32 version of VLC look better and have better features.

Anyway, I do not think this is a priority as VLC works and reactos still needs work
