If you like to see a proof that reactos supports window regions....

Well the grey ellipse is strange, it is not there in windows, but at least the elliptical window is there.

Just downloaded and tried SongBird. It has a lot of features, but it's not gonna be my default media player. It has too many features. I don't need and don't want a webbrowser in my media player. I want my media player to be lightweight, because it's running most of the time. Most of the 35MB memory...

When I first found out about reactos (~2.5 years ago), I couldn't write a single line of C. I even disliked C / C++. I knew Pascal, VB, assembly. But I was interested in the project, so I started reading the code and later commited some patches. Afaik, Alex Ionescu the former kernel lead programmer ...

I tried the editdisk program but I can't get it to work with any of my images. It complains about an invalid cluster size of something. Yes it's a bit difficult. you need to select "(Manual HD)" then in the next window select as Format the second Entry ("AT...") then you will see the partition in t...

There is also a program called editdisk (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA013937 ... index.html), wich can open VMWare and qemu images.

Ged: That's why I'd like to have Download! included in the builds ;-)

As opposed, the leaders of ReactOS evidently have to answer to my above question, that you all seem to prefer ignoring: The leaders, devs, testers, the community, all the people supporting ros owe you nothing! AFAICR you did never contribute anything to ReactOS, so why do you think you can demand a...

At the moment you cannot use ros gdi32.dll in windows. That is because our win32k syscalls are not compatible with windows ones. gdi32 links to a static lib called win32ksys, wich contains all the syscall stubs. Theoretically you could recompile gdi32.dll with a custom version of this lib, wich has ...

Did you file the bugzilla entry? I ask, because I don't see any space in your name. If it's not you, then there's someone else who has this problem, you should confirm this bug.

That's one of the basics of svn. Each revision is commented by the developer. If you update your sources with svn, you will get a list of all commits You can also see them online: http://cia.vc/stats/project/ReactOS http://svn.reactos.org/svn/reactos/ Or you can get them as email http://www.reactos....

Re: About the MediaWiki Update - Help needed!

Also we should connect Wiki pages in different languages with the InterWiki feature. An example can be found here: About ReactOS First some translated pages, which don't have a language prefix, have to be moved. For example, if there is a page "Über ReactOS", it has to be moved to "De/Über ReactOS"...

Guarding everything in the usermode dlls with SEH can protect you from a usermode crash when accessing an invalid pointer, but how can it protect you from a crash of the kernel mode driver? SEH will only do something if a usermode exception occurs, in wich case the unprotected code would simply cras...
