Re: Split: complain about mods and some users behavior

I stop buy here every so often to see how things are progressing and 90% of the recent comments are with respect to moderators being overbearing with someone who's native language isn't English... it's ridiculous. Be a bit more thick skinned or you won't have much success in the world. In one hand ...

Re: Dear developers

I think the good think to do, it's choose the good words, take care of all written expression and checked the translation if English is not our language, but it's sometimes exhausting.

Quim I don't know your native language (maybe French), but take care of the pronoun "We".

I think you want said : "It should be good to have a list of programs that heavily rely on NT 6.x APIs..."

Re: Switching the target to the NT 6.x kernel might save R&D time in the long run

"Expect" does NOT imply that you are giving orders! I can say "I expect Windows 12 to suck even worse than Windows 10" but that doesn't mean that I want Microsoft to make it happen. If what I suspect is true. It's just misunderstood and not an order, just a bad translation. And your French "on", by...

Re: Switching the target to the NT 6.x kernel might save R&D time in the long run

It may be merely an English translation issue. Quim may not understand the nuance that his "we expect" comments give. Maybe, for French for example, there is an "undefined" plural personal pronoun, "On". It's a little difficult to explain, but it's like a "We" but in a general meaning. You can be i...

Re: In the event a trade regulator takes Windows away from Microsoft

By definition, monopoly is not only for company, monopoly mean : "The domination state on a market or a the whole control on everything in a domain." Yes I know I used a pleonasm (for "whole" and "everything"). Wrong. A monopoly is when there is only one seller/vendor in a market. A monopsony is wh...

Re: FL-Studio, Reaper, Tracktion -- music production SW

Wondering if anyone here succeeded in using FL-Studio (Fruity Loop), Reaper DAW, Tracktion DAW or Ableton Live DAW... all music production software, on ReactOS ? Does ReactOS support ASIO drivers ? Hopefully some of the free anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-ransomware software also work reasonably on...

Re: In the event a trade regulator takes Windows away from Microsoft

Which means the situation would be much worse. HOW? A monopoly is when one COMPANY controls a market. It's NOT the dominance of a particular platform or set of standards. By definition, monopoly is not only for company, monopoly mean : "The domination state on a market or a the whole control on eve...

Re: Icons Update (Project Iconaissance)

Too basic and the color not fine. Basic- ok Color- it is exactly the same as your icons so... Also, which color should be used. Exact same dilemma as the design team for windows lol. I feel as though there is will always be someone to disagree, but let's make it as few as possible. It's not a criti...

The secret for a W10 speed : Go to the "Parameters" / "Windows Update" / "Advanced Options" / "Delivery Optimization" "Turn off" the "Allow downloads from other PCs" and go to "Advanced Options" and put the limit to 5% to all. After that close the window, open "Parameters" / "Privacy" / "Background ...
