Re: Upload filters

They're not going to go after random forum posts or code commits... these law is meant to protect garbage music and videos by EU-based publishers that are copyrighted. At beginning it not from EU, but US. The pressures of US companies on EU with the helps of lobbies are very high, and the laws foll...

No, that's a separate program. He is talking about a new program SIMILAR to GSOC, but it is ONLY for documentation.
Sorry, misunderstood of myself, cause I have read too quickly (and because I'm not native English speaker too).

Si tu testes sur de nouvelle version de ReactOS, pense à faire un petit retour pour voir où ç'en est.

I don't see anybody's signature on the forum. Not even mine.
Maybe have you an anti-ads like Adblock or uBlock, if it's true disable it and refresh the page to if the signatures are here.

Re: Language C

The problem is not the language used but the code. I mean, if someone use an exotic language, but made a clean code with commented for useful features, everyone doesn't care of the language used. But if you use a famous language, and made some mistake, causing BSoD, with no comment for a useless thi...

Normal, the USB support is not totally implement yet, but there is a new driver only for test, if I am not mistaken.

Well, I thought SOOAHPAZ was real at first, but he/she/it is seeming more and more like a bot to me.
Not like bot, because he/she answers like a human being, but maybe is a spammer (it's not incompatible).

Re: Target Kernel

No it is not, and an unstable and partially implemented kernel is part of what is causing the driver compatibility issues. Changing the target won't magically resolve it... since you have to then finish the older components and then add new parts on top of that, with some changes in the old parts. ...

Re: Target Kernel

I rise this thread. First we need a stable kernel.... As soon as NT5.X is good to go.... And how do developers will reliaze that NT 5.2 kernel is complete enough ? According to some posts, nobody (even kernel developers) knows how much is ReactOS kernel completed. The kernel is already stable, but t...

Re: Trying to get companies to support ReactOS

My understanding is that a goal of the ReactOS project is to allow drivers for Microsoft Windows XP/Server 2003 to work 'out of the box'. No special ReactOS-only drivers should be required. If at this time ReactOS lacks its own versions of necessary "dll files that are found within (Microsoft's ver...

Sorry to burst your bubble shunesburg, but Mozilla Gecko is not used anywhere No problem, I'm not against the positive critical comment. but Mozilla Gecko is not used anywhere in any version (to date) of Microsoft Windows. Wine and ReactOS use Gecko via Wine-Gecko as a replacement where Microsoft u...

Re: Google Summer of Code 2019 Ideas

ReactOS target to replace Windows, and Windows use Gecko. Actually, Microsoft doesn't use Gecko for anything. We're discussing mshtml.dll, which (in Windows) supplies Trident, the engine behind Internet Explorer. Sorry, but it's not totally true, Windows doesn't use Gecko it's true, but an house eq...

Re: Google Summer of Code 2019 Ideas

ReactOS target to replace Windows, and Windows use Gecko. Even Microsoft will use Chromium for the browser, the browser engine for "application" as no link to the "browser engine" of the browser itself, Windows use Gecko and will always use it for the "browser engine of application".
