Re: ReactOS 0.4.9 released

On which native AMD Athlon X2 hardware does Reactos run? 3 years ago I had some museum-computers. This is better. ;) Thanks gonzoMD, now I understand. I'm not English native but it's easier for me than German. ;-) Ich verstehe kein Deutsch ("I don't understand German" Thank you Google Translate) PS...

Out of curiosity, how do you say it? (e.g. 'B-Tree-F-S', 'Butter-F-S', 'Better-F-S', or do you say each letter, like 'B-T-R-F-S')
I'm French and we pronounce "Better-F-S" but with our accent, sometimes it's look like "Butter-F-S" ;-)

We already have:
20. Freedom from forced obsolescence by design, being forced by MS to abandon useful software.
Well seen.

Re: Disable "Drag and Drop" option

To answer such a question, I search the ReactOS web site first. If I cannot find an answer (or even a clue) there, I search the Internet. I assume that the ReactOS way to do things is usually similar to the Microsoft Windows XP way of doing things. This usually reveals how to find a feature ReactOS...

Re: Disable "Drag and Drop" option

ReactOS's design target is Microsoft Windows 2003, which is very similar to Microsoft Windows XP. Yes, I know, I meant "there is an option in ReactOS or Windows XP to make that and if yes where is it ?". But you answer me with your URLs (There is no option but with thresholds in register keys, you ...

Disable "Drag and Drop" option

Hi,
Is there an option to disable the Drag and Drop in the Explorer ?
If not it will be good to implement one to reduce the mistakes with the mouse.

I hope ReactOS would have a sandbox for Win16 and DOS applications.
If there is a sandbox by default, the compatibility will be decreased. But if there is an option why not ?
But for the moment, the main goal is stability and compatibility with XP/2003 and this kind of thing is not the priority.

Re: Installer GUI

The installer GUI is enough, when the system is install you never see it again, no need to change it for the moment. But it's true it look like old fashion, an GUI installation in the live CD will be good. For the OS GUI, there are already a theme like Win7/Vista and a new one more like Aero/Win10 w...

NT6 compatibility is inevitable and a desire toward compatibility is good. It might however result in ReactOS adopting NT6 style functionality in other areas[...]
But it will be good to support drivers from NT6 too, to improve the hardware compatibility and fix some problem with NT6 softwares.
