Re: Please add the modified Lautus-theme of GreenteaOS

OP, we should try to find out what this theme's real name is and add the actual, original theme to ReactOS, because no way these kids made this theme when they haven't made anything else by themselves. Really, where did they steal this theme from? It looks like, that the original theme was the Laut...

Please add the modified Lautus-theme of GreenteaOS

Congrats to ReactOS 0.4.7! It is nice, that it is now possible to choose between the default theme and the Lautus theme during the installation. But could you please include in next versions of ReactOS the modified Lautus-theme of GreenteaOS 0.5.1 ? https://greenteaos.github.io/ https://img3.picload...

Re: can i use QT5 webview with qtwebengine ?

According to this page, Qt version 5.7 is no longer supported on Windows XP. Even version 5.6 is not perfectly supported. However version 5.5 is supported on Windows XP. I think same is applicable for Qt WebEngine. Anything that works for MS Windows XP should work on ReactOS. It's a shame, that WIN...

Re: When will there be an "Official Release" of ReactOS?

A free clone of Windows XP that actually has an NT-like kernel and can run all WIndows programs. Not all Windows programs, but all Windows XP programs. And it is currently only the plan. And as I know, ReactOS is not a Windows XP clone, its a Windows Server 2003 clone. What would be nice - and I do...

Re: Windows 10 turns into a modular Platform

The article is very interesting and I have no doubt that it might be the direction for the future. I hope, Google goes similar ways with its Fuchis OS https://fuchsia.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page Linux on the other side, is far away from one kernel, GUI, etc for all devices. There its more the other...

And what is the reason, why it is occasionally?

But I really wonder, that is still happend.
Wouldn't it be better, to have for some sources a unique place, where both sides using it?

Re: 6600 Microsoft developer on Windows

WINE don't take the code of ReactOS. And ReactOS takes only sometimes the code of WINE. So, both have a lack of developer, but they don't cooperate and sharing its code with each other, because they think, that it is better, to do it for its own. Uh, actually both WINE and ReactOS Team were and sti...

Re: Will ReactOS still use some code from WINE? (user mode)

As you guys know, ReactOS and WINE projects are cooperating together like sharing snippets of code from both sides. This is wrong! ReactOS uses some code from WINE, but WINE don't use code from ReactOS. They have had used ReactOS-code. But the last code they have taken from ReactOS is from 2005 htt...

Re: 6600 Microsoft developer on Windows

I am also going to point out that this is another of theuserbl's posts where he draws attention to ReactOS' supposed inadequacies. We have no need of you stirring the pot theuserbl. I would gently suggest that you possibly post more favourably next time if you don't want to earn the epithet of a st...

Re: Comparison ReactOS with Haiku

Haiku is a BeOS replacement, ReactOS is a Windows XP replacement. Which has more software and user base, Windows XP or BeOS? That says something about, why the populatity of ReactOS on Distowatch is higher, but not why Haiku is more mature. And if Windows have more users and hence more "fans", then...
