Only 1 student this year?

Did we really only just get 1 student for GSOC this year or has the page not been fully updated yet? All previous years we have gotten at least 3-4 students. This is kind of a downer. https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/org ... 621191168/#!

Re: ReactOS 64 Bit Questions

when ROS replaces Linux and Windows I kind of doubt ROS will ever replace Windows. Now, replacing Linux is possible. I think why most people don't use Linux is because it lacks user-friendliness. Now if ROS becomes a thing, I don't see any reason why we would need Linux anymore. Having all the best...

Re: CMake "wrong destination"

You should head to the ReactOS IRC and ask there. It is a better place to get support for contributing to ReactOS. Just head here: https://reactos.org/irc

Re: EPIC WIN!

I think this thread would be way more beneficial to people if, instead of people posting random software that works, we only post if the software runs flawlessly (graphics, UI/GUI, sound, controls, etc) with default settings and no special configuration, and that it is the latest version/updates of ...

Re: Browser

As long as it is nothing like Internet Explorer, it should be good. We don't need to bring that crap back into this world.

I still think it is better to just include Firefox or even just fork Firefox and make something out of that.

Re: Google Summer of Code 2018

I know not too much.. I know how to create viruses 8-) I suspect you aren't wanted here with that on your CV. Why do you say that? Anyone who knows how to write a anti-virus, security patches, or some form of protection against malware, would have to know how to create a virus/malware first, or at ...

Re: Reactos with dual boot system

Fat32 is the only file system that works in ReactOS right now. And yes, you should install XP first.

I wouldn't recommend you install ReactOS on the same hard drive, though. You should use a hard drive you do not use regularly or even better under a VM.

Re: Google Summer of Code 2018

More good news is that Wine and Freetype also got accepted in 2018. Anything these 2 do also benefits ReactOS as well.

Yes, right when I got home from worked, I checked GSoC and was excited to see ReactOS got in again. This is now 3 years in a row.

Re: Suggestion: Try Seeking Donation!

It looks like it was created pretty recent. I seen they have donated to Apache and OpenBSD already, so ReactOS could try. I am not sure how often they do it, it looks like they donate every month. Perhaps you could post a reminder when the next application sign up is for the ReactOS team?

Re: Suggestion: Try Seeking Donation!

I looked it up. Seems interesting. Here is a link: https://pineapplefund.org/

Looks like they closed applications for 2018, so I guess we have to wait until 2019.

Last year, I made a topic to try and get ReactOS in the DuckDuckGo 2018 donations. DuckDuckGo put it on their consideration list.

Re: A question about Community Changelogs

Just my opinion, but seems like a lot of work just to write a change log. ReactOS has more important issues now. I say leave it as it is. After all no one has complained about it, so why fix something that isn't broken.

Re: One-Core API is a fraud

I overlooked the tree again. (Especially headers) One-Core API does not seem to include dirty code , so it's no problem. Using ReactOS and Wine code. However, author has a fork of WRK. We're thinking wrong. One-Core API is not a problem of its own, and the fork of WRK is in another branch. Resoluti...

Sorry, I don't really know how any of this works, but if I understand correctly, as of the time I am posting this, you have generated a total of $10,377 (or euros?)?
