Re: Save/restore Floating Point State

Well if you count virtualization redirecting to an external opengl stack sure. But natively or on real hardware no. As far as the logs i wasn't involved as i don't have a working jira login. But i have logged the installation of Nvidia graphics drivers in my own testing and i'm pretty certain KeRest...

Save/restore Floating Point State

I wonder if this is one of the main items blocking sound and video drivers from working fully. What would be involved in finishing the implementation?

I mean how amazing would it be to have hardware accelerated OpenGL working before ReactOS 0.5.0.

Re: ReactOS in future-Compatibility

Given the scope of what ReactOS is trying to accomplish i think the pace is to be expected. Hardware compatibility has improved dramatically in the last 2 years. And i feel it will eventually run on hardware that 2003/XP doesn't. I think some technologies like making a Gallium3D WinSys NT5.x driver ...

Re: Installing Directx 9c on ReactOS 0.4.5

I continue to be impressed with ReactOS and i'm sure it will overcome the hurdles to becoming a widely used windows compatible OS. Back to testing i get the following error on boot http://i.imgur.com/P9wLDgt.png and i get the following when running dxdiag http://i.imgur.com/PtnX5sz.png http://i.imgu...

Re: Installing Directx 9c on ReactOS 0.4.5

I also tracked down why ReactOS is hanging on boot after installing directx9 it replaces swenum.sys. If i copy back the ReactOS version booting to desktop succeeds

Re: Installing Directx 9c on ReactOS 0.4.5

I tried installing Directx with the stub exe it still fails seems it's looking for something specific in the file. 06/19/17 17:07:07: DXSetup: No command line switch 06/19/17 17:07:07: DXSetup: StartWizard() 06/19/17 17:07:16: DXSetup: CDXWSetup() 06/19/17 17:07:18: DXSetup: start installation 06/19...

Installing Directx 9c on ReactOS 0.4.5

As of ReactOS 0.4.5 Directx 9c install can complete. ReactOS is still missing user.exe though and without it the install will not start. The installer only seems to need the user.exe to check it's version number so i wonder if a stub.exe could be added because many games will try to install this ver...

Re: ROS Gaming? :D lol

I'm pretty confident ReactOS will get there the fact that the project is attracting some Linux kernel developers is a good sign. Work on low level DirectX is happening. Who knows maybe we could even see hardware accelerated 3d rendering starting to work before the year is over.

Re: [GSoC 2017] Missing introducing of the students

i think USB 3 makes perfect sense as a project because both new AMD and Intel hardware they don't make xp drivers anymore. Even windows 7 is off limits for drivers so in my mind this is a crucial project for the future especially as ReactOS moves from alpha to beta and more people start actively usi...
