Re: Will File Sharing be implemented soon?
I wouldn't expect that feature anytime soon.

Re: How to build ReactOS explorer for Win7?
This is the most recent x64 build https://iso.reactos.org/livecd/reactos-livecd-0.4.11-dev-206-g4066c42-x64-msvc-win-dbg.7z Thank you. Unfortunately, it lacks rshell.dll, which is required for working on NT6. I think the current explorer.exe no longer uses rshell.dll would probably need to include ...

Re: Aspects of Vista/7/8/10 that should NOT be ported to React
Now more to the topic, if we change targets, then there are things we'd have to port, even if we don't like them. Those would be changes related to graphics and sound. Hardware sound acceleration would likely not be usable, and getting a compositing engine (DWM) would likely be necessary. I don't k...

Re: Development Direction
I think many people would like ReactOS to be a drop in replacement for windows right now or even 2 years from now when windows 7 reaches end of life. Even if by some chance ReactOS could reach beta by then it still would not be in a position to be used by the masses. Maybe more people could use it i...

Is it ok to submit bugs on the x64 build of ReactOS?
According to the wiki page ReactOS x64 boots on Virtualbox so i was wondering would it be useful to file bugs when running on real hardware or is it still too soon for that given the x64 port is not yet complete? https://reactos.org/wiki/AMD64 The build i'm using is reactos-livecd-0.4.10-dev-603-g7f...

Re: USB safe removal
That was amazingly unhelpful. Is the intention to replicate Microsoft nasty consumer attitudes? You could clarify, and explain, be helpful. Unless like Microsoft you don't give a shit about customer experience. https://www.reactos.org/blogs/gsoc%E2%80%9917-project-taskbar-shell-extensions-reactos-f...

Re: Bundling of firmware in ReactOS update.
This is the first time that i'm aware of microcode causing problems to this extent. Drivers however have always been a problem mostly because hardware manufacturers do not validate new drivers on older hardware. Given the nature of open source operating systems some sort of community driven driver v...

Re: Is there anything testers can do to help get video drivers in better shape?
As things progress on the video driver front it can be challenging to get good screen shots if the gui is not fully functional like in the case of this AMD driver problem. https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-14927 Like if ReactOS had the ability to just save a numbered screen shot would be really h...

Is there anything testers can do to help get video drivers in better shape?
Maybe a test suite people could run to isolate particular problems create logs and or screen shots of problems. I think something like this could be helpful especially if it replaced the shell cutting down on log spam. Any other ideas guys? I wonder if a more detailed wiki page could also be a good ...

Re: Is UEFI nessisary for ReactOS? Otherwise lets support it.
The system would have be a 32bit UEFI Well, could they use Legacy Mode for that? For existing systems sure but Intel has stated they are going to be doing away with Legacy CSM by 2020. Now i don't know if OEM's will have to follow Intel's lead or if they will continue offering Legacy CSM on Intel b...
