Re: Wine Internet Explorer

Part of the problem is that in Windows XP, Internet Explorer is part of the architecture of the OS. To quote Wikipedia: It is unclear what it means to "remove IE" because such a removal depends on being able to determine which files or functions on an installed Windows system are part of IE — that i...

Wine Internet Explorer

Ever since I've been trying out ReactOS I've noticed the browser located on C:\Program File\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe. It seems like a crude copy of Internet Explorer 6, and it's a single EXE. I've always have a couple of questions about this: -Is this intended to become the default browser in ...

How do I change my password?

I registered at 3 AM, while not thinking clearly, and in the morning I couldn't remember my password anymore. I used the Forgot you Password? option and got a ramdomly generated one, but now I can't find the option to change it to something more easy to remember.

Assistance please.

Re: No Welcome board/thread?

Yes - I have the install CD.

And I managed to get past the Registering Components part; It seems changing the keyboard layout to anything other than US makes the setup get stuck.

Re: No Welcome board/thread?

I usually try with the Windows XP profile in the latest VBox (4.3.12), and the newest revision from https://www.reactos.org/getbuilds . I will try with the settings you suggested and revision 63534. Meanwhile I'll also setup a IRC client... P.S. My version of Windows Server 2003 is actually Web Serv...

Re: No Welcome board/thread?

Thank you. The problem is that I cannot wipe the main OS from my laptop :P And it has no serial port. I'll see if I can figure out a way to dual-boot ReactOS though. I'll be glad to test on VirtualBox (BTW I do have Windows Server 2003 Standard SP1 x86, is that good?). Maybe I'll make a thread about...

No Welcome board/thread?

Well, doesn't matter. I have been following ReactOS for a while, and I think there is a great potential on this (open-source and based on NT? I'm sold). Today I finally decided to register. I hope to be able to partake in talk about ReactOS, and to help development in any way I can. I have the follo...

Re: Mixed content (https / http)

HTTPS Everywhere does not have a redirection rule for reactos.org, and since those elements break with mixed content blocking, such a rule would be disabled by default. (I'm in the process of submitting a HTTPS-E redirection rule for reactos.org. If you could fix that issue the rule would be enabled...
