Re: Why not get some supporters from Linux?

Returning to thread, another alternate thread title might be: Why Free Software Fundation don't give some support for ReactOS (or "co-adopt" it)?. Auto-response: Becouse Richard Stallman (and surely others FSF members/fellows) doesn't like ReactOS. Probably is the most annoying and unpleasant free/o...

Re: Blog: Indiegogo software/hardware vote info

What intrigues me too is if GDI and/or directdraw uses hardware acceleration (tell me if i wrong but by hardware acceleration i understand video card drivers are installed ok) and i would know if there are much diference in performance between GDI and directdraw whit or whitout hardware acceleration...

Re: Blog: Indiegogo software/hardware vote info

So non-3D means no-direct3d?, so directdraw and GDI based apps are valid?.

Yes i know, but you always can try it "Lited", and Seven SP1 is by far more stable than a XP SP3. Ok, at begining W7 is a mess to find how configure the things.

Re: Why is it taking so long?

I've had this discussion before, with z98, I think. While I'm not saying it won't involve some work and it will still take some time, I don't find it logical to assume it would take more time and work to go from scratch to winxp, than from winXP to Win7. Where you first have completely nothing and ...

Just don't forget that there is no new goal right now, nor will be in near future :-)
By "near future" how many time do you mean?, months, one year, two years...?.

braindead UI for desktops. The opponents against GNOME use the exact same objection for GNOME 3 desktop  Well WIndows 7/Windows Server 2012 seems too much ambitous by now, isn't?, why not Windows Server 2008/Vista? (i know Vista as a co-goal can generate very bad PR). Windows 7 has equival...

Re: Why is it taking so long?

True. Sooner or later, ROS will HAVE to go beyond the 2003/XP goal. I would strongly suggest setting the next goal to win7, when the time comes. As for the one after that; we'll see. Well WIndows 7/Windows Server 2012 seems too much ambitous by now, isn't?, why not Windows Server 2008/Vista? (i kno...

Re: Why is it taking so long?

I think I will be dead by the time this OS is ready. I'm using XP. I love it. But Microsoft is dropping us. I hate Windows 7 with a passion. And Linux is plain and ancient looking. So I'll keep using XP. But what I really want to know is what is Reactos OS goal. I first thought it was going to be l...

Re: Different PR/Fundraising approach

Ok. By now, one has to be realistic. Short of a miracle like some multi-millionaire suddenly investing in Reactos, the project will fail. there's only 4 days left, and less than a quarter of the necessary funding there. That's the thing i still don't understand, if no one multi-million or multi-gro...
