Then it would be GPL incompatible. The GPL explicitly allows selling code. It would not be copyleft if you leave out the ability to sell.vicmarcal wrote:And what about the Source code under "CopyLeft" ?You can give permission to share,to change, but not to sell

Re: Similar Project
HX DOS Extender is still actively developed; however, you might want to talk to the developer about his work. From the looks of things, there is no license anywhere. If my understanding is correct, it means two things: 1) It's Public Domain 2) He forgot to include it so it's unclear. Well I am nerv...

Re:
That's not problem.. problem in trunk - nobody can't commit in trunk via git. That's what I'm talking of — the ability to commit to the trunk without necessity to use SVN… Well... It is a mirror. In general, mirrors are read only, with a few rare exceptions to that. It's a precaution, and a good on...

Re: Similar Project
Both Open Watcom and Digital Mars have the full Win16 compilation SDKs. I believe that both also include documentation, so you may want to check out the OpenWatcom and DIgital Mars projects. The OpenWatcom Project has been working on a Linux cross-compiler, I don't know if it is any good for compili...

Re: Using git for ros source as main revision control system.
I just personally would either like a mirror of a DVCS that I can use directly on Windows instead of having to import and then update, because the first import takes a LONG time to do. So, I would just be happy with a Mercurial mirror so that I didn't have to import the WHOLE repository on each mach...

Re: Using git for ros source as main revision control system.
Personally, I would rather nail my gentlenmans area to the desk than use git Soon, you will have to do it. Git is fine as a mirror, but NEVER as a main DVCS, ESPECIALLY for this project. If anything, Mercurial would be a much better choice! Why? I never used Mercurial. Say me, please, why is it bet...

Re: Well done on setting up the Git mirror!
Interesting. We were considering a Mercurial repo instead of Git, but kept running into problems converting, whether it be directly from SVN or from Git then to Hg. My version of Mercurial is pretty old, (0.9.x), so I think the SVN support may be better in the latest versions of Mercurial. On the M...

Re: Well done on setting up the Git mirror!
I personally prefer Mercurial over GIT, but any DVCS is better than running entirely SVN. Mainly because current DVCSes seem to be optimized for fairly large projects, while SVN and others seem to be optimized for smaller stuff. This is probably not true, but that is my experience. I usually have to...

Open source ESD driver for NT
Hello, I was doing one of my random browses on the internet, and I stumbled on to this: http://www.clingman.org/winesd/ It is a driver for Windows NT that allows you to send sound out through ESounD to another system with (probably) PulseAudio (since ESD isn't Windows native). Perhaps ReactOS could ...

Re: Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS
I would like to recommend VirtualDub. It is opensource under the GPL version 2. Windows does have an equivalent that is weaker called Windows Movie Maker. It uses ACM/VCM codecs, which is built into Windows through VfW, and it can also use DirectShow.... On the other hand, I doubt ReactOS has a Dire...
