Re: Asus X55U and ReactOS?

Murple, Feck not please... Some of us still use English without expletives to express ourselves and find such usage offensive. Thanks. I am also one of those who prefer not to use such words. :o The expletives of foreign languages tend to seem milder than those of ones mother tongue. If courtesy is...

Re: To register as Vendor

You're basically asking us to police any vendor that attempts to sell ReactOS to make sure they're up to date and pass on the message that ReactOS is not ready for general usage yet. Are you really not aware that that is what you're arguing for or are you somehow justifying to yourself that the amo...

There is a related issue at CORE-8802
So, basically, it will work with png and jpg in the 0.4?

Which reminds me: wasn't Victor going to try to have a community-voted wallpaper-contest for the 0.4 as well?

Re: To register as Vendor

I'm not sure if anyone bothered to actually checkout the link. They offer version 0.3. 3 and say "ReactOS 0.3.3 i386 CD is the latest version of ReactOS." i386? OMG! ROS won't even run on a 486. It's pretty common to refer to 32bit editions using "i386" just as "amd64" is used to refer to 64bit edi...

I'm rather puzzled (and curious) about that too. Did they make any changes to it themselves? Have they b...

0.3.18? :D Aren't we going to 0.4? :)
Yes,we are.
Yes, we can!

Are there any plans for incorporating a browser in the RCE? That would be great.

Re: To register as Vendor

If a user is determined to buy something, nothing we do will stop them. They are perfectly free to go and pay a member of the community to go burn them a CD and mail it to them. What need is there to involve the project? The fact that we do not want any part of such a transaction is our way of maki...

Re: Blog: Translatable emptyness and Long-winded Shortcuts

As already mentioned... WIne iexplore is no feature complete browser yet. We would have to add browser selector like MS some time in the future, but right now we have rapps for that and more important tasks than user friendliness. It is one of the most recurrent issues of noob users trying out ROS ...

Re: Is anyone interested in this wallpaper?

Here's one made by me. I personally don't like adding any logos or text to wallpapers, with exception of stylized logos as wallpapers. *Click the image to see it in full resolution (1080p) http://i.imgur.com/30WCYVS.png Well, the wallpaper-voting is over by now, and with partial success: there are ...

Re: To register as Vendor

The majority of the developers and project members have a strong ethical objection to the notion of selling an unfinished product that is not even usable yet, especially one that is ultimately intended to be given away for free. From our viewpoint it is highly unprofessional and even disrespectful ...

Re: To register as Vendor

It's simple. We warn everywhere @ our site about the current status and it is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature-complete and is recommended only for evaluation and testing purposes. And using a release which is two months old, already is a problem in updating matters. As long as this ...

Re: To register as Vendor

I though you were going to take advantage of this Rationally one would expect that, yes. But I'm not surprised by the Reaction (pun half intended). I'm not sure WHAT they're thinking, except it seems an overly defensive stance. I could see asking to explicitly mention it is alpha, ok. One has to be...

Re: Blog: Translatable emptyness and Long-winded Shortcuts

I know that people could just download Firefox, I still think we should put a shortcut to WINE Internet Explorer in the start menu. It would show people that we have a web browser included. Most people don't even know that we include WINE Internet Explorer. I'll second that. And, you know, let it l...

Re: To register as Vendor

Well...that didn't take long, after this: http://www.reactos.org/forum/viewtopic. ... 15#p113079

I guess ROS will have to make its stand on it a bit more clear, now. (Or ignore it altogether).
