[SUGGESTION] Add MAC Spoofing option for WiFi adapters

Hi. As you already probably know, Windows only allows the MAC Address change of the Ethernet adapter by default (in Device Manager), and it offers no easy option of doing the same thing for the Wireless Adapter. Would you be so kind as to provide the end user to also be able to change the WiFi card ...

Re: ***IMPORTANT!*** A ShellShock-like [?] vuln in MS Windo

I think this is a major security bug in the NT platform... I discover MS Windows to be less and less secure by the day, particularly since I started playing with Kali Linux. I really hope ReactOS can come with workarounds that would not make it as insecure as the original Windows. Because if ReactOS...

Re: ***IMPORTANT!*** A ShellShock-like [?] vuln in MS Windo

It should execute calc.exe without consent (one does not even
need to press ENTER).

UPDATE: I've also made a video to show what I mean:

***IMPORTANT!*** A ShellShock-like [?] vuln in MS Windows

Hi... Look what I've found: https://www.blackhat.com/docs/eu-14/materials/eu-14-Hafif-Reflected-File-Download-A-New-Web-Attack-Vector.pdf basically, it's about a vulnerability - sort of auto code execution, similar to ShellShock (RFD... or I don't know how it's called - you can read the paper) try t...

Re: 0.3.17 testing

On another note, I cannot install ReactOS in VMWare Player 6.0.3 from the
iso image provided. It just gives me a black screen (after "Loading Files" initial
screen), even though the VM HDD and Optical Drive LEDs are on, indicating activity.

EDIT/UPDATE: On VirtualBox v4.3.16 it seems that it works...

I suppose this is a false positive and I've reported it as such.

Force HTTPS on ReactOS Forums by default.

Hi. The proposition is ismple. HTTPS is already there in ReactOS website, it would provide enhanced security over the forums too. I don't know about you guys, but I don't get HTTPS when I enter the forums and I have to manually specify it in the address bar. What's your view? EDIT: I'll also add a p...

Hope from ReactOS code I've seen

Hi. I've recently seen on http://code.reactos.org that there is work underway on
the NTFS filesystem. And as far as I remember, this was one feature scheduled
for ReactOS beta. Correct me if I am wrong, but I smell good news at the horizon :D

P.S. I am waiting for Z98 to crash my hopes

Tabbed Explorer - try it in ReactOS?

Hey guys, check this out:

http://ejie.me/

it's a plug-in that adds tabbed functionality to
Windows Explorer and makes it like a browser.

It would be a very interesting and useful feature in ReactOS. :)

Re: BAT and VBS scripts

Strangely enough, now that I had the time, I have downloaded revision 63591 to try this out, but aparently, the installer CD does not see my vmware player Hard Disk, be it the revision CD or the 0.3.16 installer CD (at first stage setup) - neither IDE nor SATA/SCSI works. Then, when I tried the live...

BAT and VBS scripts

Hi there.

My question is simple.

I ask it because right now I don't have the means to check it myself.
and I would like to use ReactOS for a test later, if it supports running
BAT and VBS scripts.

So, can anyone confirm whether ReactOS can run BAT and VBS files at its current
stage?

Thanks.

I guess ReactOS Team is aware of this.
But have you decided to also participate?

Re: ReactOS and TrueCrypt

But True Crypt is open source, right? Maybe someone can take over and continue supporting it... Maybe ReactOS team could integrate it a part of the OS (like BitLocker in Windows counterpart), probably if someone has donated to push truecrypt app to be supported. That could be useful. Or who knows, p...

Re: ReactOS and TrueCrypt

Hey... don't want to be a spoiler or anything, but you had better check the truecrypt website:

www.truecrypt.com will redirect you to http://truecrypt.sourceforge.net/
where you will see what this is all about.
