mf's right. All these "Johny come lately" fanboys (I guess that includes me too) who have make 0-10 posts and just stumbled on the project/registered on the website 5 days ago, read a couple forum posts and would like to announce that they know better than the devs that have actually done something....

He stated personal/family reasons in a mailing list post for stepping down as Testing Coordinator.

Developers Leaving/Left/Staying

I'm still playing catch up on the mailing list and who is still around. But what is the status of developers? Like who left the project and who decided to stick around. I know WaxDragon left, but did Hartmut decide to stay with the audit? Also I saw somewhere that Alex isn't doing work anymore.

Yeah, because this is a major rewrite of the system. The audited code could be called 0.3 and then increment versions based on requirements (current 0.3, 0.5, etc) by 0.1. So the working network release would be 0.4.

Re: Sad... but let's fork it to another place

What I mean is that i'm really not afraid of the microsoft legal bullshit and I said to all... Then I think you may have underestimated their legal power? Forking is not the answer to the problem, you end up with duplicated efforts and it doesn't necessarily fix the potential legal issues. Just hav...

Don't remember, I think several articles I read, when the big storm of news surrounding the swtich started, mentioned it.

Originally (way back when the whole switch was announced) it was said that users could install other operating systems on their hardware and run whatever. They just couldn't run MacOS on anything that wasn't their hardware.

Unless it was cracked. Several times already...

Everything cool with TwoTailedFox? I though he and the newsletter was supposed to be as regular as a geriatric on Metamucil.

VMware Player

I know ReactOS is distributed by ISO, but this might be a good way to get people to try it as well. I know QEMU is free, but isn't VMware faster and much more compatable? VMWare released today the VMWare Player, a freely downloadable tool that 'plays' virtual machines (it just doesn't let you create...
