Re: EPIC WIN!

I used the latest revision and Code::Blocks finally works (displays the console window) http://pokit.org/get/img/0ed36d533404fb5534d133f3298e97dd.png there is still a problem that code::blocks is TOP-MOST and covers all other windows including the console-output window and it still loses the config...

Re: Eject after first stage install

It would be nice if the did it all in one round but even OS X has a second stage. So, I'm not really complaining. Anyway, ReactOS' installer time is hell of a lot faster then Windows'.

Re: [suggestio] Add an exe launcher like .msi .exe

ReactOS and Wine are both open source and rely on each other.

Apache is not compatible with GPLv2, which ROS uses, only GPLv3.

Well, part of the sandbox or playground is finding what works to fix the problem.

Re: ReactOS 0.3.15 release..

Wonder when someone would make a post regarding this release. I've only had one BSOD so far and that was during the GUI installation which resolved itself with a simple restart.

Developers: make ROS your playground

It's mentioned numerous of times in posts and I don't if it has as a topic, so forgive me. First of all, I'm not a member of any team, don't claim to be, but I know enough about Windows and ReactOS to at least give a few pointers. Plus I'm starting to get a better understanding of how the team opera...

Eject after first stage install

Basically, have the CD eject itself after the initial first stage, non graphical, install is complete. Would shave off some time instead of having to wait for the noticeable CD to time out and finish booting into the HDD for graphical positional of the install or the OS itself.

anyone has news if ReactOS will have NT 6.x Features?

UAC

And I suggest to implement Kernel-Based Virtualization like under Linux :)

Let's leave UAC out of this.

Re: Direct3D games in ReactOS

Direct3D is much more complex and has taken longer to reverse engineer then any other Windows APIs, other then the operating system itself. Speaking of which, I'm not sure DOS had any OS-specific game APIs to begin with, since the games we're able to play can run on any DOS or DOS-like environment.

Re: What do we expect from ROS?

I agree with what you have posted. I think it was stated quite well. :ugeek: Thank you. Few things on that post I actually wanted to get out of way. Mostly my own estimates on ROS' beta and stable releases. The principle of least privilege, I think, is what UAC implemented. Most Windows users find ...

That. Debugging your application on both Windows and ReactOS as well and sending the reports back to the them will help the developers greatly.
