Re: Suggestion #2 is out!

Well, after a long time Design Suggestion #2 is out . This can be found at http://www.newmatic.de/ros/ Sorry that it's incomplete! You don't have to be sorry for that :) Anyway, i think that the logo is too gaudy. The boot screen is OK, but under Windows XP you can only use 16 colours, though i don...

Was sollen denn "ganz normale archive dateien" sein? Zip-Dateien? Tarballs? Und vor allem: Welchen Vorteil...

Re: ReactOS web Server!

How could it be? There is almost nothing to configure with tiny unless the html was entered manually into the index part of the program (which would be a bit silly.) If it works with IE why not with Fox if it does when run under win2000? Well, how could it be that ReactOS' TCP/IP stack turns "text/...

Auto Login to the forum doesn't work.

Hi,
Somehow the ReactOS forums don't log me in automatically, although i set up everything accordingly in my profile. I didn't disable cookies in my Browser (SeaMonkey 1.0b) and it works in other forums as well....
Any suggestions?

No, this is definately a configuration problem of the web server.

IMHO ntfs support isn't most importan feature. In case of dual boot it will be quite easy to load ntfs driver from windows (as captive does) and without dual boot you just don't need ntfs support, there are many other good and open source file systems. Ntfs change with every service pack, it's almo...

Re: Feature Suggestions

It's not possible to add such a box ("10 most recent posts"). The frontpage is a static page (html file) and xhtml 1.1 doesn't support iframes. But maybe we could add a rss feed for the forum. You could use object tags instead of iframes as suggested by the W3C. <object type="text/html" style="widt...

ReactOS Home page sends wrong content types

I just noticed that in the http headers, it says that the Front Page's MIME type is text/html. But in the document it says, that it's an XHTML 1.1 document. W3C says you shouldn't do this :/. Also the document says that it's encoded in UTF-8, but actually it contains invalid bytes; probably these ar...

It may work even if it's a DOS driver and ReactOs may incorporated it somehow or be adjusted to work with NTFS4Dos. No, it *won't work*. Forget about it, it's not possible without the source code. Well, perhaps it is possible, but it would be a very dirty hack, and it certainly wouldn't be much les...

Mozilla Firefox works now, so probably ChatZilla (an IRC Extension for Firefox) will work.

Been away for a couple of weeks. Did anyone have a look at Datapol's NTFS4Dos? http://www.datapol.de/dpe/recovery/ntfs/index.html I have installed it on a floppy and at first glance it does NOT seem to use any Windows proprietary files. And... it's free for personal use! This is a DOS driver, and R...
