Re: Testing on real hardware 2019

I downloaded and installed getbuild (0.4.13). When quoting the revision that you are testing, it is better to quote the part of the full revision, that I have highlighted in bold (below) and not just 0.4.13 reactos- bootcd-0.4.13-dev-343-ga73c17f-x86-gcc-lin-dbg .7z When creating a Jira Issue, that...

Re: Three questions

1) I do not know. 2) ReactOS, As in https://reactos.org/wiki/images/6/63/StartMenu.png If the top ReactOS is select, then there will be no debug output. 3) ReactOS comes with it's own Realtec RTL8139 lan driver and I think there is another one, but I cannot remember what it is. So if your hardware h...

1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) Yes.
4) Try the manufacturer's website to see if they still have drivers for Win XP or Win 2003.

Re: Testing on real hardware 2019

Could the second computer be a tablet with USB, with a serial<->USB adapter cable? I have no experience with a serial to USB adapter, so all I can say is, give it a try. The tablet will need a terminal app to capture the debug output. A little trick to try to get the mouse pointer to work, is to ke...

Re: Testing on real hardware 2019

Try the latest build at the getbuilds page. hdaudbus is a known problem. If audio can be disabled in the bios, disable it and try again (I have read were this as been suggested). For serious testing you will need a null modem cable (if your test computer has a serial port) and a second computer with...

Re: ROS testing on real hardware

PeterLinuxer » 01 Jun 2019 22:45 The last post to this topic was more than 5 year ago. Never resurrect old topics. You may be set out to the dog house, when EmuandCo comes around. Is there a program running on ReactOS (or Linux) telling me about my hardware? I am willing to describe my hardware in m...

Re: Real hardware, unable to partition or format, SATA set to IDE mode

This is pretty recent hardware (at least I think so) so this is actually a pretty impressive achievement so I think this method of installing aught to be mentioned on the wiki. I'm going to create the page if I can. You may not yet be able to create new pages on the main wiki, but you have a person...

Re: where is log lile

If you run in Debug mode, then the debug info is sent to the serial port and you will need to capture it externally. If you run in Log file mode, then you should find it in C:\reactos, but you are running a livecd, which creates a ramdisk, so I do not know if that will be drive C: Why have you not u...

Re: I have had enough

Well dizt3mp3r, your post does nothing to reassure me, quit the opposite, it makes me think it is time to go. I see just a little glimmer of hope in EmuandCo's post. I do not think that I need to "toughen up!" or "man-up". It is very easy being part of a crowd, but it is not so easy being virtually ...

Re: I have had enough

Thanks EmuandCo; the problem is, I am a very religious person, I can tolerate bad language, though I do not like it, but I am deeply offended when I hear or read any of God's names used as an exclamation, including the acronym. If this can be address, then I am prepared to stay for longer and contin...

I have had enough

Post by ThFabba » 16 Apr 2019 19:24 Oh. My. (censored). Read the (censored) title of the thread! This is so horrendously off-topic that I'm surprised you aren't all banned yet. Well, I am seriously thinking, that I may ban myself from reactos.org. I have just had enough of the bad language I read. ...

Re: 4.11 can not support usb keyboard?

USB is problematic, but there are some improvements due to go into trunk, so for now, you will have to wait a little, until they are merged with trunk, then try a Latest build.

Re: Project Mizu

I do not like the all white Explorer window; could you give it some colour. I have read, that Victor would like to see more themes (see this post ). So when you have finished this, could you create an high contrast theme, for those people who have problems with their vision (just a suggestion). This...

Re: VIDEO: Install ReactOS to VirtualBox with Networking Support

You would have been better making this post in Support and then linking to this topic.

There is an issue with VirtualBox 6.0.4, which is nothing to do with ReactOS; see https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-15697
