Re: ReactOS Facebook Group Page

Just left their idiotic group page these guys don't know crap about this project. All they do is copy the forum, post senseless notifications 5 times a day and do nothing but annoy me. If an Admin or someone with actually affiliation with the core leadership of the project would like to contribute t...

Re: reactos foundation should

If ROS was in beta I'd support it but the project is far from stable enough to start distributing CD releases. It would likely damage our reputation with those that receive the CDs and don't fully understand the state of the project or the insane level of progress it has made this year.

Re: Better GUI in ROS 0.3.9

QEMU 0.3.13 likely tweaked the virtual networking card in such a way that it crashed the ROS network stack most likely by emulating a newer or differnt chipset. ROS has developers who are very familiar with the stack and they have come a long way this past year in the number of cards that it support...

Re: Wikipedia Page

We should see if we can load the Google Web Fonts Library into our Wiki... It would likely only require minimal work, 10 min or so.

Re: Do AC97 based PCI sound cards exist?

You guys want to just stay on topic... Instead of demanding a Super Mod... (btw i too nominate Z80... god help me..! ) Q. Do AC97 based PCI sound cards exist? A. Yes - There are PCI cards using AC97 chipsets manufactured by VIA and produced through MSI. One example is the Msi KT3 Ultra Hope t...

Re: Many questions , like DirectX, USB, SATA and drivers

Yea sure, I'd be willing to either sell or donate a laptop or two to the project if you think it would help us. Just let me know. Specs: Via C7m 1.6mhz Chrome 9 IGPU Chipset Ram 1 Slot DDR - 512mb Hard Drive - SATA 40GB DVD - DVD/CD-rw+- WIFI - 54mbps - Not sure on the chipset - Brodcom I'd think Ne...

Re: Many questions , like DirectX, USB, SATA and drivers

God... thats too good. I've got 100 laptops I'm selling on Craigslist from MSI that all use the Via C7 along with this chipset. Aside from running AERO quite well on Win7 they for some reason have no support for HD. I cant get it to accelerate anything. What in the name of god device do you have thi...

Re: Current RAM requirement

 Windows 95 was more stable for you than 98..? I find that really hard to believe..! In any case it seems explore is using more memory than it really should be... almost 30mb disable explore and ROS seems to run stable on only 55mb of ram. I've got explore 95 running stable with less than 59m...

Re: Current RAM requirement

I'd say its bellow 128mb. I dont have an updated build installed, but you can try it with 64mb that would be my suggested Min.

Re: Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS

Seems like an issue allocating resources in memory manager. Its most likely a conflict in the Ros interruption... can you provide a log dump to the dev team...

Re: Win32 WINE-Binaries

 this is pointless Arwiniss does a much better job of linking the wine subsystem to the RoS kernel. If your running wine inside of RoS your simply creating redundant instances of the same files without any of the advancements in adopting it to the RoS Kernel... Its very doubtful you would see ...

Re: is this thing stable?

NTFS is licensed by microsoft... dont hold your breath on gaining a compatible driver.
And if we can avoid the legality issue there is a working build of FUSE that would accomplish the same out come if adopted by RoS.

Re: Colinux and Reactos

nicamarvin2005 I welcome your questions but your clearly just tossing out senseless statements. CoLinux for windows will run fine on reactos. Why doen't you test it yourself and file a bug report if it fails to run.
